Monday, February 7
Danny isn’t sure of Michelle’s case anymore and tells her that they can get away from there. He points out that all the people they thought they could count on have turned against them and he wishes they had left Springfield last summer when they wanted to. She tells him that her life is in Springfield. He begs her to think about it and explains that he has fake passports for them. A man brings the passports and Michelle isn’t sure she can do this. She wonders about what their children’s lives would be like on the run. She decides that she won’t run or it will be just like admitting guilt.
Drew tells Jesse that she believes in his love now and promises to always believe in it from now on. She wishes she could shut out the world especially Carmen Santos. Jesse tries to reassure her and goes downstairs to get some wine for a romantic evening. Carmen arrives. Carmen asks Drew about Mick's death. She asks him what his final moments were like and if he asked for his mother. Drew reveals that he was trying to rape Michelle and apologizes. She asks Carmen to get on with planning her little "accident" but Carmen tells her she's going to let it go because Drew is Ben's daughter. Jesse arrives and tells Carmen to leave. Drew tells him that Carmen agreed to let it go and that Ben saved her life. Outside, Carmen comments that Drew is going to suffer just like Michelle will.
Susan shows Jim the prenatal vitamins and tells him that Beth is pregnant. Jim is shocked and an upset Susan suggests that the child may not even be his. Jim tells her to go to her room and Beth worries that he believes her but he assures her he doesn't. He is happy about the baby and Beth is relieved. He understands that she didn't tell him because he was going on and on about this not being the right time. He tells her that he wife couldn't get pregnant so he believed he would never have a biological child. He is thrilled and thinks they can make it work. Meanwhile, Harley and Lizzie make Valentine’s and Lizzie goes up to bed. Phillip thinks that Harley is a good homemaker and she tells him that she is going back to being a PI soon. Phillip is distracted but says he is very happy to be there with her. Susan arrives and tells them that she ran away because Beth is pregnant. Lizzie overhears and is stunned. Harley takes Susan outside and Susan explains that every time she begins to like Beth something happens. Harley reminds her that she acted like this when she was pregnant with Zach. Harley compares her love for her dad and Harley to the love from her date to her and this new baby. Lizzie wants to know why Beth didn’t tell them. Phillip explains that this will be her real brother or sister and Lizzie is confused. He tells her that she needs to look after and teach this new baby things. She promises that she will love it a lot. Phillip promises that everything will be OK and understands that there is a lot of change going on in her life right now. She asks how he feels about Beth having a baby with Jim and Phillip says he isn’t sad because it is making Beth happy. Susan and Harley come back in and Susan wants to stay there tonight. Phillip calls Jim and Jim beams about being a father. Beth gets the phone and Phillip tells them that Susan is over there and that Lizzie knows. Beth wishes she could have been there to tell her. Harley is surprised by this news and says that she is thrilled. She tells Phillip that she thinks it is great for everybody that Beth has a life of her own. Jim tells Beth he wants to make the child legitimate. He asks her to marry him soon and says they can be man and wife by the end of the week. An elated Beth says yes.
Richard asks Cassie what she said and she comes out of her hallucination. She asks him what she said and he says she told him she loves him. She apologizes and tells him she thought he was Hart. He is disappointed but understands that she would hallucinate about the true love of her life. She tells him that she fell in love with Hart the minute she saw him but didn't know it. She says Hart changed her life and it's hard for her to fall in love with a man. Buzz interrupts them and Cassie can't believe Richard flew him down there to make her chili. Buzz doesn't understand when Richard acts like he did it for the good of the country, not for her. Richard tells Buzz that he married for love once before and it cost him his son, his brother and his country and he won't do that again. Buzz tells him he liked the guy that hustled him in pool better and advises him to tell Cassie the truth. Later, the doctor tells Richard that Cassie may not be able to have children.
Tuesday, February 8
Josh and Olivia come home with a painting that Olivia picked out for his apartment. He checks for a message from Reva and Olivia is surprised that Reva has the number. She remembers erasing a message. Josh hangs the picture and Olivia suggests he should call Reva to set up the dinner himself. Olivia gives Josh something that she found while looking through his old business papers. It is a note from HB. It is about a job that Josh did for Lewis Construction many years ago. He remembers how awful he thought he did on that job but HB gave him great praise on how he handled it. HB says how much he loves him and how proud he is. Josh thanks Olivia for giving this to him and he goes out to get something from the car. Meanwhile, Reva and the kids wait on Josh to arrive for the family dinner. Reva tells Marah that she knows about what happened with the boy in the garage. Marah acts like it wasn't a big deal that Olivia helped her. Reva tells her that it's okay if Marah likes Olivia and Marah says she'd like her more if Josh liked her less. They talk about what happened and Reva assures her that it was not her fault. She says that the boy was wrong no matter how Marah was dressed. Shayne overhears what happened and wants to know who did that to her. Reva tells him that they will take care of it and Shayne asks where Josh is. Reva calls and gets Olivia, who tells Reva that Josh is outside and asks for a message. Reva hangs up and says she'll deliver the message herself. She tells Marah and Shayne she has to run out for a while but will be back soon. Marah thinks Josh is with Olivia and Reva is going to confront them. Shayne says that they always promise to be there for them but they never are so he and Marah have to look out for each other. Marah offers to take him to Millennium and they leave. At Josh’s, he comes back in and Olivia has candles and wine ready for him. She toasts to his new home and new bed. They begin to get romantic and head to the bedroom just at there is a knock at the door. Reva finds Josh with Olivia and tells him he was supposed to be having dinner with the kids but she sees now where his priorities are.
Rick apologizes to Michelle for his testimony. Holly reassures Michelle that Ross can win for her. Ross asks a man if he is sure about what he just said and Ross is pleased. Jesse tells Drew that he truly believes that Carmen will leave her alone and hopes that they can all move on. Carmen apologizes to Michelle for her testimony but Michelle doesn’t believe her. Drew tells Michelle that Carmen has forgiven her for Mick’s death because she is Ben’s daughter. Michelle doesn’t thing that Carmen is so forgiving. Ross asks Jesse if he is alright with testifying about his relationship with Michelle with Drew there. Jesse assures him everything is okay. Ross calls Jesse to the stand and he testifies that Michelle helped him learn to read and got him out of a bad neighborhood. The DA questions him about Michelle's mother's heart and implies that he owes Michelle his testimony. She asks him if he's still in love with Michelle. Ross asks him about Michelle's character and he says he doesn't believe Michelle would kill anyone. He says that at one time he loved her, but he's in love with Drew now. Outside, Edmund wants to talk to Carmen but she acts like she doesn’t’ have time. He persists and asks her to do something for him. He needs her to talk to her people in San Cristobel because he needs to be discreet. He advises Carmen to stay away from Drew or else all fingers will point right at her. Carmen reassures him that she doesn’t have time to mess with Drew right now and goes into the courtroom. Jesse steps down and Ross calls a doctor to the stand which surprises everyone. He questions him about the gloves and finds out that only one shot was fired while the killer wore the gloves. The doctor tells him that there had to be two shooters involved. The DA asks for recess and Ross tells Michelle and Danny that he didn't want to get their hopes up. Michelle thinks everything is going there way and notices an upset Carmen leaving. She asks Danny why Carmen didn't stick around to congratulate them. Drew can't believe that two people went after her father.
Bill comes to check on Vanessa and Matt tells him she's doing worse. Matt can't understand why. He tells Bill that everyday he expects her to wake up and come back to him but she doesn't and no one can tell him why. They see Ross being interviewed about the trial and learn that there were two shooters. Matt suggests Bill go see Michelle and he leaves. Matt hears Ross say they have to find out who else was there that night and he remembers Vanessa saying "I was there." He runs into Carmen in the hall and tells her he thinks Vanessa was in Ben's room the night he was killed.
Wednesday, February 9
Reva finds Josh with Olivia and tells him he was supposed to have dinner with the kids tonight. She says she left a message and he tells her he never got it. Reva looks at Olivia and says she thinks she knows what happened. Olivia tells Josh she accidentally erased the message but Reva doesn't think so. Josh agrees to go see the kids and leaves with Reva. They get home and find that the kids went to Millennium because they got tired of waiting. Reva tells Josh that it's hard to see him with Olivia. She says that she loves him and that's no secret and that she's worried about him. Josh reminds her that Olivia was her friend in San Cristobel and Reva tells him she knows her. She says she just wants him to take his time and be sure about Olivia. Josh goes to Millennium to find the kids. Meanwhile back at Josh's, Olivia says that she can't stay there anymore and leaves.
Beth and Jim talk about their wedding and Beth asks him if he's okay with Phillip being there. Jim says he's not concerned with Phillip anymore but he is worried about Susan. He doesn't understand how she could say the things she said to Beth. Beth tells him that she found flowers and a note from Susan apologizing for her behavior. Beth tells Jim that Alan offered to have the wedding at the mansion and Jim can't believe she agreed. Beth says that she wasn't thinking and will call Alan and cancel. She tells him that the only thing that matters is that they are together. Jim tells her that her happiness is what matters and she says that he can't possibly believe that she isn't happy with him. She assures him that she is very happy and questions whether or not he is. He tells her he can't wait to have her as his wife but he feels bad for criticizing and not helping her plan the wedding. He tells her that whenever he hears Spaulding it reminds him of everything that Phillip gave her that he can't. Beth says that none of that matters to her and that his love is plenty. She says that before him, she didn't believe she deserved anything good and that he gave her back her faith in herself. She tells him she loves him and she doesn't want him to ever doubt that. Jim agrees to have the wedding at the mansion and tells her that nothing Phillip says or does can stop them from being happy. Beth thinks they should find another location but Jim says it's okay. Jim tells her that they are finally going to be a real family.
Phillip meets up with Rick at the courthouse and asks him what happened. Rick fills him on the fact that there were two shooters and Phillip is happy for Michelle. Rick asks him about Beth and he tells him that Beth told Jim she's pregnant. Phillip admits that it's killing him but there's nothing he can do about it. He believes if he tells the truth now it would hurt too many people. Meanwhile in an elevator, Edmund continues his plans for the plant in San Cristobel. Rick tells Phillip he knows this is hard for him and Phillip says he didn't have a choice. He believes that Beth is very emotional and he doesn't want to bring more pain into her life. He tells Phillip that he will congratulate Jim until the baby is born and then he will see what happens. Edmund overhears and asks who is having a baby. Phillip tells him that Beth and Jim are expecting and Edmund comments that he must be thrilled for them. Phillip gets angry when Edmund tells him he authorized the foreman in San Cristobel to hire more workers. Phillip tells him to unhire them and they argue over what is best for the plant. Edmund says he's only trying to help but Phillip thinks he's pushing again and he's getting sick of it. Phillip and Edmund get into a heated argument and Rick breaks it up. Edmund leaves and Rick tells Phillip he has to get a hold of his emotions because his life is out of control. Phillip tells Rick that he doesn't have to put up with Edmund and he's through babysitting.
Michelle is still excited about the doctor's testimony. Danny tells Jesse that they have to keep Len from testifying. Danny doesn't think he'll be able to lie. Drew hears them and doesn't understand why they wouldn't want Len to testify. Michelle and Drew think that Len will give her a solid alibi. Danny and Jesse try to explain that the DA could turn his words around on them and they should quit while they are ahead. Drew brings up again that finding who really killed Ben is what matters. Drew gets upset and Michelle follows her to the ladies room. Jesse tells Danny that Drew can't ever find out that he knows about Len. Len arrives with Ross. Danny and Jesse try to convince Ross that Len shouldn't testify now that Dr. Webster did such a good job. Ross doesn't agree and thinks it would be insane not to call him. Jesse begins to agree with Ross and Michelle and Drew return. Michelle asks her about what Carmen had to say about Mick. Michelle tells Drew that she thinks Carmen is the one who set her up for murder. Drew and Jesse invite Michelle and Danny to dinner and Drew sees Len. Jesse tells her who he is and she thinks that she has seen him somewhere before.
Frank goes to the hospital for his yearly check up and thinks about his suspension. He runs into Buzz. Buzz tells him that he has been in San Cristobel making chili and asks what is wrong. Frank tells him about being suspended and Buzz is shocked. Frank thinks that maybe he shouldn't be a cop. Buzz tells him that he is proud of him and calls him a chip off of the old block. Frank says that he needs to go check in Vanessa and Buzz tells him to be proud of himself. Meanwhile, Matt tells Carmen that Vanessa was saying "I was there" and he thinks that might mean at Ben's apartment. Carmen points out that Vanessa might have been one of the shooters and he would be turning her in if he told the police. Matt can't believe it and Carmen reminds him of Vanessa's behavior the days before the murder. Frank arrives and asks about Vanessa. Matt tells him that he thinks that Vanessa might know who killed Ben. Frank is confused. Carmen gets a call from Pilar and Matt begins to tell Frank about the night Vanessa was found. Matt feels he has to clear Michelle if he can and Frank tells him about being suspended. Matt says that is good because they can work off the record and only tell if they find something. Frank agrees. Matt tells him about the small cut on Vanessa's forehead and the great deal of blood on her coat. They both think it is strange and Matt goes to find the coat. He finds out that the hospital sent it to be dry cleaned. Frank thinks that they could still get some blood off of it and Carmen realizes that she has to get rid of the coat.
Thursday, February 10
Beth's wedding day arrives and everyone makes last minute preparations. Harley arrives and congratulates Beth on her pregnancy. She tells her that they may be pregnant at the same time since she and Phillip have decided to have another baby. Beth is surprised that Harley is happy for her and Harley tells her that she seems less like Phillip's ex-wife now that's marrying Jim and having his baby. Outside, Phillip and Alan talk about what happened with Phillip was a child. Alan tells him that his real father is nowhere around now and was never a real father to him. Phillip asks Alan if he would have let Justin be a part of Phillip's life and Alan says no. He tells him he would have done whatever it took to keep him away. Alan asks Phillip if he could share Lizzie or Zach with another man. Phillip thanks him for the talk. Beth asks Harley to check on Lizzie for her and Phillip arrives. Beth asks him if he's going to congratulate her and he tells her she seems to be pulling everything off. Beth meant the wedding not the baby. Phillip wonders what more she wants from him, afterall she's marrying Jim on their anniversary in the same place they were married. He doesn't know if he can do this. Beth tells him she's not ruining his life, but it isn't his life he's worried about. He tells her he can't be around her if he's going to make this work and tries to leave. Harley, Lizzie and Alan come down and Lizzie tells them that Beth needs someone to give her away. Alan suggests Phillip.
Cassie notices that Richard is distant with her now as she talks about wedding plans. He remembers the doctor telling him Cassie may not be able to have children. Cassie apologizes for her behavior while being sick and Richard understands. Jenny arrives and Richard tells her he has some business to take care of. Cassie tells Jenny that Richard is acting strange and Jenny reminds her that she wanted this to be an arrangement. Cassie goes to see if he is okay and overhears him talking to the doctor about her condition. Cassie is devastated to hear that she can't have children. She doesn't hear Richard tell the doctor that he is going to marry Cassie anyway and that all that matters is she gets well. Jenny tries to comfort Cassie by telling her she already has two beautiful children. Cassie says she wanted to have Richard's child. Tammy asks Richard if the wedding is still going to happen. She tells him that the kids at school don't believe her. Richard says that she can invite them to the palace and they'll show them. Tammy asks him what she should call him and he tells her that she can call him dad if she wants to. He says that he would like to be a father for her and they hug. Richard goes back to Cassie and tells her about his talk with Tammy. She tells him that they will never be royalty because the wedding is off.
Matt and Frank bring Vanessa's coat to the police station for tests. They convince David that Vanessa could have been in Ben's apartment that night. David agrees to run blood tests on it and tells Matt he could be putting Vanessa at the scene of the crime. Matt tells him that he doesn't believe Vanessa would kill Ben in cold blood but an accident could have happened. He believes Vanessa would want to help Michelle. Meanwhile, Carmen asks Edmund to help her switch the coats. Edmund agrees if she'll continue with their plan in San Cristobel. He tells her that he has arranged for an accident to happen that Phillip will be responsible for. They agree and Edmund goes to the police station with two other men. He distracts David and Frank by announcing that someone tried to kill him. The men switch the coats and Edmund walks out. Michelle tells Abby that she believes Carmen is the only one who would set her up. She wants to question Carmen but Abby doesn't think it's a good idea. Michelle does it anyway and asks Carmen why she left the court so suddenly. Carmen explains that she had to check on Pilar. Michelle tells her that she only knows one person who hates her this much and that is her. Carmen denies having anything to do with it but Michelle tells her that the truth always reveals itself in the end. Outside, Edmund makes Carmen think he couldn't get the coat but she is relieved when he shows it to her. At the station, David tells Matt and Frank that they couldn't find any traces of blood on the coat. Matt still thinks Vanessa might know who killed Ben.
Friday, February 11
Cassie tells Richard that the wedding is off because she has second thoughts. He is confused and she tells him that she overheard him and the doctor talking. He tells her that she brings a lot to his life besides and heir. He tells her that he wants to marry her anyway because he loves her and he asks her to stay. He tells her that she has become very important to the people of San Cristobel but she says that she can’t take children from him. He tells her that she has given him the only family that he has. He tells her about his talk with Tammy and his offer for her to call him dad. Cassie hugs him. He asks her to reconsider calling of the wedding and she agrees. Richard kisses her.
Ross tells everyone that Len will be his final witness today. Jesse tells Danny to relax because Danny thinks that Len will screw up on the stand. Len arrives and Drew asks him where they know one another from. Abby asks Michelle if she is still worried about Carmen and tries to reassure her. Jesse interrupts Drew and Len and Len leaves. Jesse tries to take Drew’s mind off of it but she won’t let it go. Jesse tells Danny that he hates lying to Drew and Michelle hears them talking. They explain that they just want Drew to leave Len alone. Michelle tells Danny that they need to talk about Carmen. Carmen tells Drew that she has changed since she fell in love with Ben. She says that she is trying to support Michelle but now she thinks that Michelle has a guilty conscience. Drew realizes that Carmen thinks that Michelle is guilty now. Michelle thinks that Carmen is not on her side. Danny doesn’t think that makes sense. Court resumes and Ross calls Len to the stand. He testifies to seeing Michelle and Drew realizes that she saw him in the police station talking to Danny. She thinks that Michelle whole alibi is a lie.
Alan suggests that Phillip walk Beth down the aisle. Phillip gets upset and Harley wants to know why. She thinks that he is upset that Beth is remarrying. She thinks it would provide closure to walk Beth down the aisle. Phillip reluctantly agrees and Beth is surprised. Lillian thinks it is Cray for Phillip to do this and asks Beth to call off the wedding. Beth gets upset and tells Lillian to either be happy for her or butt out of her life. They go up to get ready. Jim tells Susan that she has to accept Beth. She thinks that he will love this baby more than her because it will be his. He reassures her that he loves her like she is his and he always will. Lizzie and Alan decorate the room and Edmund arrives to drop off some work. Alan invites him to stay for the wedding but Phillip is opposed to that. Susan catches Lizzie coughing and Lizzie asks her to keep quiet so she won’t miss the wedding. Beth mentions to Jim that Phillip is giving her away but Jim won’t have it. He thinks it is wrong and Harley asks to explain it to Jim. She says that she thinks it would provide closure for Phillip and Beth. Jim reluctantly agrees. Susan tells Lillian that Lizzie is sick and Lillian says that she is making an appointment with Rick for her. The wedding begins and everyone looks for Phillip. In the hall, Edmund apologizes for their argument. Phillip thinks that they just can’t get alone. Phillip offers to talk to Richard and find him another job. Edmund says that he isn’t leaving Spaulding. Phillip tells him to get out and he is the one on the tape but Phillip doesn’t believe him. Edmund plays the tape and Phillip is stunned.
Monday, February 14
Bill sneaks up on Marah because he has a key to the house. He asks what is going on with her and they talk about Josh and Olivia. She tells him how hard it is for her and Shayne to try to live a normal life. Marah thinks she should have someone to talk to when she comes home and she can't count on her mom not to leave. Marah thanks Bill for listening. She asks him about Pilar and Vanessa. She tells him that she thought he'd end up with Michelle. They realize that things could be a lot worse for both of them.
Drew realizes that Len lied. She stands up but Jesse quiets her and takes her outside. Ross continues to question Len about seeing Michelle. The DA asks for a recess. Ross is very optimistic with Michelle's case. Jesse begs Drew not to say anything because Len is Michelle's best chance of getting off. She realizes that he knew Len would lie. Jesse tells Drew the truth about what Len really saw and heard as the DA overhears them. Drew says that she just wants the truth and court resumes. The DA questions Len about seeing Michelle. She tells him that she knows that he is lying and he is shocked. Ross objects but Len gets confused. Len admits that he spoke to Danny and he is lying. He admits he never saw Michelle that night. The court takes another recess and Michelle begs Danny to tell her that this isn't true but he confirms that it is. Rick and Abby are shocked and Rick is sure she is going to jail. Drew confronts Jesse about lying in front of the Rabbi. She tells him she doesn't trust him anymore and gives him back his ring. Ross can't believe that Danny would do this and Danny says he would do it again to protect Michelle. Ross says that Danny has just assured a guilty verdict.
Cassie and Richard's kiss is interrupted by the message of an injury at the construction site. The messenger says the hospitals are full and Cassie tells him to bring the injured people there to the palace. Richard thanks Cassie for her help with this matter and she reassures him that she can help iwth the patients. Cassie helps as Richard tries to find out why this all happened. Cassie helps a woman look for her husband among the injured people. A reporter arrives to talk to Richard and lays the blame on him. Cassie speaks up on Richard's behalf and throws the reporter out. Richard thanks her for all her help. He brings up the kiss and Cassie thinks he believes it didn't mean anything.
Edmund shows Phillip the tape. Harley comes to get Phillip for the wedding and interrupts them. Beth and Jim wait on Phillip and Jim apologizes to Lillian for rushing the wedding and family along. Edmund taunts Phillip with the tape in front of Harley. Phillip sends Harley back to the wedding and she tells Jim and Beth that Phillip will be there soon. Edmund tells Phillip that he wants a seat on the board at Spaulding and Phillip says no. Phillip threatens to go tell everyone the truth. Lizzie tells Susan that the baby will have a whole sister between the two of them because they both will be halves but Susan isn't interested. Harley tells Alan that she thinks it is nice that he offered the mansion to Beth as a wedding location. He tells her that she is his daughter-in-law now for better or worse. Lizzie comes to rush Phillip along and Edmund charms her. He shows her the camera and taunts Phillip. Lizzie tells Phillip that she likes Edmund. She goes back inside and Phillip grabs the tape. Edmund says that it is okay because he has other copies and Phillip goes inside. Edmund gets a call saying everything is going as planned in San Cristobel. The wedding begins and Phillip walks in with Beth. Jim and Beth exchange vows and are married. Alan gives them a toast and Harley says she is the happiest of all. Beth tells Lillian that she is truly happy for the first time since she was with Phillip. Edmund leaves and Phillip follows him out. He punches Edmund and tells him that he will not be blackmailed. Harley comes out and asks what is going on.
Tuesday, February 15
Harley wants to know what's going on when she walks in on Phillip and Edmund fighting. Edmund wants to explain to everyone so they all go back inside. He apologizes for having to ruin Beth and Jim's wedding day. Phillip looks on as Edmund admits that this is all his fault and he took a swing at Phillip first. He tells them that he has been having trouble adjusting to reporting to a boss. Edmund apologizes again and leaves. Phillip follows him out again and Edmund asks him if he's not going to thank him for saving him. Phillip vows to make him pay but Edmund thinks Phillip will be the one to pay Edmund anything he wants. He reminds him that he wants a seat on the board or he will ruin Phillip's life and leaves. The video remains on the ground. Harley thinks there is more going on than just business problems. Alan interrupts Phillip and Harley and tells Phillip about the accident in San Cristobel. Alan is upset that Phillip let this happen. As Jim and Beth are leaving, Jim notices a video tape on the ground. Harley remembers Edmund filming the wedding and tells them it must be the wedding tape. They take it to watch later tonight. Phillip assures Harley that he wouldn't put people's lives in danger just because he disliked someone. He tells her he has to go to San Cristobel to do damage control and she offers to go with him. She tells him that Jim and Beth took a video of the wedding with them and he asks her if Edmund gave it to them. She says they found it outside and Phillip gets nervous. He remembers something he has to do and tells Harley to go home and pack. He rushes out and Harley wonders what could be so important. Meanwhile, Beth and Jim arrive at the hotel and Beth tells him she's never felt so hopeful. The video remains in Jim's coat.
Carmen bribes someone to let her in Edmund's room. She wants to celebrate her victory in court today. She looks around and finds the video of Beth and Phillip and realizes this is what Edmund has on him. Edmund comes home to find Carmen waiting on him. He gets upset when he notices the video tape is missing. Carmen plays with him a little before revealing the tape. He tells her not to cross him and she says she was only playing a joke. They celebrate the fact that everything is going their way. Carmen reveals to Edmund that she has been going about Michelle's case all wrong. She tells him that she didn't have to do anything because Danny was the one who put the final nail in her coffin. She says that he got a witness to provide Michelle with an alibi but the witness confessed. Carmen is thrilled that Michelle is going to jail and Danny will have to get over her.
Drew tells Jesse that she won’t forgive him for choosing Michelle over her. Jesse follows her to Company and says that he isn’t letting her go because he loves her. He wants to talk about it but she won’t. He leaves and she follows him outside. She tells him not to go and asks him how he can lover her and stab her in the back. He says it was hard to keep it from her and tells her that he is on her side. Jesse tells her that she should believe that it Michelle didn’t do it because they were best friends but she thinks he doesn’t care about getting to the truth. He says all he cares about is being there for her and he asks how he can make this up to her. She tells him that the insecurity that she is feels right now is unforgivable. She asks him to admit that Michelle could be guilty but he can’t. She tells him that she is by herself in the fight to find her father’s killer. She tells him to choose between her and Michelle. He tells her that he would be lying if he said he thought that Michelle killed Ben and she asks him to get his stuff out of their apartment tonight.
Ross asks Michelle if she knew about Len but she says she didn’t. Danny tells Ross that he can’t give up on Michelle. Ross thinks it was a mistake to take the case. He tells Michelle that he will do what he can and goes to talk to the DA. Michelle asks Danny what he was thinking and how he could have lied to her. She realizes that he knew this could backfire and he did nothing. He tells her that he did it because he loves her. She tells him to stop loving her then. He says that he will never stop loving her and she thinks she is there because of everything she has done to be with him. She tells him that he is the best thing and the worst thing that has ever happened to her. Danny begs her not to give up on them or him. Outside, Ross tells Doris that he didn’t know Len was lying. He asks her to cut Michelle a deal. She says that she isn’t going to prosecute Danny for tampering. Ross asks for murder I but she says she will only give murder II and he has until court starts tomorrow to decide. Ross comes back and tells Michelle and Danny that the DA offered a plea bargain for murder II that would be a 25-year sentence. Danny says that she doesn’t need to think about it but Michelle tells him that he can’t make decisions for her anymore. He can’t believe that she could consider this and she says that she has to make this decision on her own because it is her life. Danny tells her that he thought it was their life and she gets a ride home with Ross.

Cassie apologizes to Tammy for having to cancel her slumber party. She tells her that Richard had some government business to take care of. Tammy tells Cassie that her friends will never believe she lives in a palace now. Richard arrives and tells Tammy her friends are there. Cassie hopes that they aren't keeping Richard from anything and he tells her he wants to do this for Tammy. They remember the first time they saw each other and Richard comments on how things have changed since then. Tammy and her friends want to play Cinderella with Richard as the prince. He takes the slipper and tries it on all of them and it fits Cassie. He tells her she must be his princess. The girls go to sleep and Tammy tells Richard she loves him. Cassie is upset because she knows that Richard wanted his own child and now she's ruined his chance. Richard reminds her that there is still a possibility she can have children. Tammy comes out and thanks Richard for her party. Richard tells Cassie that her and Tammy's happiness is what's important to him. He says that they won't know if they can have children until they try.
Rick talks to Ross at the courthouse when he comes to meet Abby. Rick tells him that Abby has been very busy lecturing at schools and he misses her. Rick asks Ross about parenting and tells him that he misses his dad. Ross says that he misses Ed too and Rick tells him that he hasn’t heard from Ed since October and he has no idea that Michelle is on trial for murder. Ross can’t believe that Michelle hasn’t mentioned him yet but Rick thinks it is because she knows that he doesn’t give a damn about her. Rick is very angry that he can’t reach Ed and worries that he is drinking again. Ross agrees that it is possible and thinks that Ed should be here taking care of his kids. He promises to call a friend in the embassy and find Ed for them. Outside, Abby arrives looking for Rick and sits down with Olivia. She drops her things and Olivia helps her. She suggests that Abby have a bubble bath. Olivia begins to tell her about the guy she is dating and how his "ex-wife" is trying to get him back. She tells Abby that she and the "ex-wife" have a history with men but she doesn’t plan on letting this one go. She tells Abby that her “boyfriend” is having dinner with his family right now. She talks about how the woman left her husband and kids and caused all the problems. She calls her Reva and Abby stops her. She says that she is one of Reva’s best friends. Abby tells her that Josh and Reva have been trying to work it out and she is the one keeping them apart. Olivia says that she is not responsible and Abby points out how convenient it is for her to be there to pick up the pieces. Abby tells her that Josh and Reva have been through a lot and always get back together and they always will. Olivia says that she doesn’t know their history and doesn’t care. Abby tells her that things will work out for Josh and Reva a lot quicker if she would pack her bags and go back to her little island. Olivia receives a notice that her visa has been extended and tells Abby that she won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Josh arrives for dinner with Reva and the kids. He asks where Shayne is and they tell him he's at hockey practice. Josh apologizes again for missing dinner the other night and Marah tells him she understands his new girlfriend is his first priority now. Reva says she should have called and made sure that Josh got the message. He tells them that it was a mix up and nobody was at fault. Marah goes to check on dinner and Josh asks Reva if Shayne doesn't want to see him. She admits that Shayne is having a hard time adjusting to the changes. Josh says he'll talk to him when he gets home from practice and Reva tells him Shayne quit the hockey team. He asks why and she says Shayne wants to help her. She tells him Shayne is trying so hard to be the man of the house and it's breaking her heart. She goes to help Marah and Josh realizes this is going to be hard. At dinner, Marah remembers a ski trip the family took and Reva spraining her ankle. She excuses herself and Reva tells Josh it feels like nothing has changed. He agrees and she admits that she misses these quiet times together. He reveals that that is how he felt when she was in San Cristobel. He apologizes saying he didn't mean to hurt her. Reva tells him that things can be that way again if he wants them to be. He tells her he doesn't know what he wants. As he is leaving, he tells her he knows there are things she wants him to say but he just can't right now. She says she is trying to understand and just misses him. He thanks her for the dinner and leaves.
Beth tells Jim that nothing will ever come between them. She wants to watch the tape of their wedding and Jim puts it in the VCR. He can’t get it to work and decides to toast to them first. Phillip arrives outside and bribes a bellboy to interrupt them with a complementary message from the spa downstairs. They go with him and Phillip sneaks in their room to look for the tape. He finds it in the VCR and Harley arrives and asks what he is doing. He asks if she is following him and he says that he is there to give Beth and Jim a gift of the Spaulding jet on their honeymoon. She thinks he is lying to her and he says that he just wants to make up for hitting Edmund at the wedding. She still doesn’t believe him and asks about the fight again. Jim and Beth come back and Jim isn’t pleased to see Phillip and Harley there. Harley takes Jim into the hall and tries to explain. She says that she thinks that Phillip’s heart is in the right place. Inside, Beth thinks that Phillip is upset about her wedding to Jim and won’t give him a chance to explain his real reason for being there. Jim and Harley come in and Jim declines the offer of the jet. He asks them to leave. In the hall, Phillip apologizes to Harley. She wants to leave and he destroys the tape in his pocket. Inside, Beth and Jim get romantic.

Abby visits Reva and tells her about meeting Olivia. Reva finds it funny that Abby let Olivia have it. She tells her this is the most fun she's had in months. Abby says that Olivia is making a serious play for Josh and Reva knows that. She says that she hurt Josh and she needs to give him some space. In the meantime, she's looking forward to making a life for herself. Reva says that she's lost herself and the person Josh married. Abby thinks she should go get Josh back and Olivia won't know what hit her. Abby leaves for the courthouse and Reva gets a call from Hawk. She learns that he has broken his hip and is in the hospital. When Hawk wants to talk to Josh, she tells him he's not there but she will give him the message.
Outside Matt’s, Olivia tells Josh about talking to Abby. She explains that she badmouthed Reva before she knew who Abby was. Josh thinks she was doing it to get back at Reva. Olivia says that she would never use Josh like that. He reminds her of how angry she was with Reva when she took Richard away. She admits that making Reva jealous was part of their relationship and he admits the same. Josh tells her that it means a lot to him to have someone look at him the way she does. She tells him how special he is too. Inside, Bill is sure that Michelle is innocent and should not take the deal. He points out that even Matt thinks that Vanessa might be involved. Matt wishes he could help Michelle and Bill remembers the night he went to the Santos’s when Ben was killed. Matt wants Bill to let it go but he can’t. Matt says that he won’t do anything that would point a finger at Vanessa. Bill says that he would never hurt Vanessa. He says that he has to know what happened that night and he leaves. Matt calls the hospital to check on Vanessa and Josh and Olivia come inside. Josh asks how Vanessa is and Matt leaves to go to the hospital. Josh tells Olivia that Matt and Vanessa had just found each other again and Olivia worries that he and Reva will do the same thing. Reva arrives and apologizes for the interruption. She tells him that there is a family problem. She gives him the message from Hawk and Josh says that he’ll call him. Reva gets upset and Josh hugs her. He goes to call Hawk and Olivia accuses Reva of using this to get close to Josh.
Carmen prays at church. She talks to Ben and tells him that she wishes he was there to see his death be avenged and their victory. Danny hears her and asks what she means by that. Carmen says that she was just thinking about how well he is holding up for Michelle. He says that he spent last night in a motel room. Carmen tells him to face the chance that Michelle will be convicted. She asks him to come home so that she can take care of him. Pilar listens to their conversation. Danny asks her to make the charges against Michelle disappear with her connections. Carmen tells him that is impossible but Danny thinks that is what she does best. He begins to believe that Michelle is right and that she was involved in Ben’s murder. She acts hurt and tells him that anything she did would be for him and not for Michelle. Danny tells her not to come to the court and leaves. Pilar comes out and asks Carmen to do what she promised and confess to Ben’s murder. Carmen reminds her that Michelle killed Mick and this is Michelle’s punishment. She asks points out that Vanessa is the one who killed Ben and that it would crush Bill to find that out. Carmen leaves and Bill arrives. He begs Pilar to stop running from the truth because he knows that she knows what really happened the night that Ben was killed.
The DA asks Ross and Michelle for their decision about the deal. Michelle says she doesn’t know yet. They give her another half-hour to make it. Drew looks on and confronts Michelle about taking her father and the man she loves. Michelle maintains that she is innocent but Drew doesn't believe her. She tells her that she wants Michelle to admit what she did. Michelle refuses and Drew starts talking about how she's reeling Jesse back in. Michelle tells her that they are only friends. Drew brings up the fact that Michelle almost cost her Max and Michelle tells her she also protected her from Mick's murder. Michelle says she's tired of defending herself to Drew and doesn't care what she believes. She finds it strange that she is fighting for her life and Drew is worried about losing her boyfriend. She reminds Drew that the real killer is still out there but Drew believes she's looking at the killer. Michelle says she can't waste anymore time with Drew and Danny arrives and pulls her in the elevator. They both apologize and Danny tells her he's behind her no matter what she decides. Michelle asks Ross what will happen if she chooses not to take the deal and he tells her their case will depend on his closing argument. Michelle asks to testify and Ross believes that's a very bad idea. Michelle says she won't take the deal and court resumes. The judge asks for Ross's next witness and Michelle begs him to let her take the stand.

Susan tells her doll that she's the only one she can talk to now. Max finds her and Susan hides the doll in her coat. She tells Max she needed to get away from the kids to be alone. Max finds the doll and says she isn't really alone. Susan tries to cover but Max tells her that Drew has dolls that she kept when she was a kid. She talks to him about feeling alone since Beth and Jim are in Hawaii and Phillip and Harley are in San Cristobel. She says that she misses her mother and Max understands. Max talks to her about Drew's problems lately with Jesse and Michelle. They agree that sometimes having a family can suck. Susan advises Max to just be there for Drew when she needs to talk. Max thinks she's pretty smart and she comments that she's smart for a kid. He tells her she's not a kid and they kiss.
Phillip and Harley arrive in San Cristobel and ask for the latest on the accident. Richard updates them and Harley asks where the crane came from and who had access to it. Cassie thinks that Edmund could be behind it but Harley tells them that he's been acting like the project was all his idea. Phillip and Edmund go to check to see if any of the workers are missing. Richard asks him how Edmund is doing and Phillip admits he doesn't like him. Richard asks if he believes Edmund could be behind it and Phillip doesn't think it would make any sense. He tells him that Edmund wanted more security on the site and he wouldn't have risked Phillip saying yes to that. Harley tells Cassie that she's glad Phillip could get away because he's been acting strange ever since they got home from San Cristobel the last time. Cassie tells her about having the measles and how Richard was there for her. Harley believes he is in love with her but Cassie doesn't want to think about it. She tells her that the doctors say she may not be able to have children because of a complication with the birth of RJ. Harley is further convinced of Richard's love when Cassie tells her that didn't matter to him. Harley thinks all Richard needs is a push but Cassie tells her not to do anything. Phillip and Richard return with the news that the crane came from Texas and there are some people missing who came with it. Harley thinks that Richard and Cassie should go undercover to check it out. She goes to make plans and Phillip tells her he thinks it's a bad idea. Cassie tells Richard she agrees with Harley and won't let anything bad happen to Richard. Harley comes back and tells Richard and Cassie that they will act like a married couple who work in a bar.
Edmund tells Carmen that there is a problem with the accident in San Cristobel. She says that she has bigger problems to worry about. She tells him that she pulled the men out of San Cristobel and no one knows where they are. Edmund says that he needs to find them and make sure that they won’t talk. She tells him that they are in Texas and says that she must get back to the courtroom. Edmund books a flight to Texas. Meanwhile at church, Pilar says that Ben needs to rest in peace and she has nothing to say. Bill tells her that he thinks Vanessa might know something and Pilar tells him that she did talk to Vanessa about Ben the night he was killed. She explains that Vanessa was very understanding about Ben and Bill continues to question her. Pilar says that she doesn’t want to hurt him or his mother but he insists that she tell him the truth no matter what. She tells him that it is God’s will but he tells her that God gave her free will to decide what is right and wrong. Pilar runs out of the church.
Selena arrives in court just as Ross asks for a recess. Rick doesn’t want Michelle to testify but Michelle is sure that she can do some good. Ross thinks that Doris will eat her alive and tells Danny to talk her out of this. Drew tells Selena that she thinks that if Michelle takes the stand she might confess. Michelle thinks that she can change the jury’s minds but Ross thinks he has reasonable doubt with the forensics expert. Michelle decides that she is going to testify with or without Ross’s help. Jesse and Rick agree that this is a bad idea but Abby thinks it might help. Court resumes and Ross calls Michelle to the stand. She testifies that those are not her gloves and that she didn’t see Ben on the night he was killed. She admits to pulling a steak knife on him but not wishing him dead. She says that Ben’s presence allowed Danny to leave his family business. She explains that she did go to the ice cream store and didn’t know that Len was lying. She says that afterwards she went to the graveyard to talk to her mother’s grave. The DA begins her questions by bringing up Mick’s murder. The judge tells her that if she mentions it again he will call a mistrial. Doris asks about Michelle’s testimony in Max’s adoption hearing and the fact that Michelle was at Tower’s after Ben was murdered. Doris points out that Danny, Jesse, and Rick all lied on the stand for her and thinks that Michelle manipulates all the men in her life. The DA brings up all the things that Ben did to her friends and family. Pilar bursts in and tells Doris to stop. She says that she knows Michelle didn’t kill Ben because she knows who did.
Monday, February 21
Olivia arrives at Josh’s with tickets for the theater. She says that she wants to do something different for a change. He remembers things he is doing with the kids and tells her that they’ll have to reschedule for later. She admits that it bothered her when he hugged Reva. She wonders if he is really over her. He tells her that Reva will never entirely be out of his life. She tells him that the whole town is a shrine to his great love with Reva. She thinks there isn’t room enough for her is his life or this town. He agrees that they need to be spontaneous and fun. She is very happy and he suggests they go skiing. She agrees and they get romantic. Afterwards, they pack for skiing and Josh says that they have to stop by the house so he can pick up his skis. Meanwhile, Reva tells Marah that Hawk is having his hip replaced so she is going to go help him recuperate. She says that Marah and Shayne will have to stay with Josh while she's gone. Marah doesn't like that idea because of Olivia. She has a better plan that might get Reva and Josh back together. She thinks that Josh should come there and she can make him remember all the good times they've had. Reva doesn't think Josh is as emotionally involved with Olivia as everyone else does. Marah reminds her that he's sleeping with her. She tells Reva that he could decide to divorce Reva and stay with Olivia. She says that Reva may not want to do anything about it, but she tells her not to stop her from trying. Reva tells Marah she doesn't want to manipulate Josh to get him back and doesn't want Marah too either. Marah offers to call Josh for her but she tells her she'll do it. Marah calls Josh anyway and he tells her that he will be going skiing with Olivia and will stop by to pick up his skis. Marah says that is great. She comments that Reva may not want to fight for their family, but she will. Josh arrives and Marah tells him the situation with Hawk. She says that she and Shayne will stay at the house alone and he can spend time with Olivia. He tells her that he will stay there with them while Reva is gone. She tries again to get him to agree to let them stay home alone but he refuses. Olivia arrives and overhears him say that he'll move some stuff in tonight. She asks him what's going on and he tells her his plans have changed. Reva comes downstairs and Olivia comments that it doesn't surprise her.
Richard thinks that Harley’s idea is ridiculous but Cassie thinks it will work. He thinks it is too risky for Cassie but she thinks that he is just nervous. She suggests that they act married right now. She explains that married people look and touch each other in a certain way. She tells him that he won’t fit in in Texas and that he needs her. She questions him about drinks and sports and he is clueless. He sees that she won’t give up and she says that they have to come up with romantic stories to explain their marriage. They talk about when the first time they told each other they loved each other was. Cassie remembers seeing him in her barn. She says that she knew she loved him the first time she saw him. Richard tells her about when he first knew he loved her too. They get lost in character and almost kiss but are interrupted. Richard puts on a Texas accent and tells her he can hold his on alone but it will be more fun with her. As they are about to leave, Cassie gets a nightgown out of her closet and secretly packs it. They leave for their trip to Texas.
Danny asks Pilar what is going on and she asks him to put her on the stand so she can save Michelle. Ross requests a recess while Carmen tries to tell Danny that Pilar doesn’t know what she is talking about. He sends Pilar with Ross and Danny thinks that she knows something about Carmen. He vows that Carmen should be afraid if she had anything to do with this. Court resumes and Ross calls Pilar to the stand but the DA objects. The judge allows it and Drew is confused. Pilar testifies that she was in Ben’s room the night he was killed. She explains how she tricked Carmen and how Carmen shot Ben. Carmen tries to tell everyone that Pilar is crazy. Pilar apologizes to her mother and tells Ross that Carmen was trying to protect her. Ross asks who the second shooter was and Pilar apologizes to Bill. She announces that Vanessa was the second shooter. She says that she told Vanessa what she was planning for Ben and Vanessa must have followed her. She goes on to say that something must have happened in order for her to shoot Ben. Ross asks her if she knows who set Michelle up and she admits that Carmen did it. She apologizes to her mother but says she has to tell the truth. Danny tells Carmen that she will get what's coming to her. At the hospital, Matt tells Vanessa to concentrate on everyone that loves her and he reminds her how he built the house for her. She wishes she could talk to him and tries to speak to his heart. He decides to turn on Michelle’s trial on TV. Matt sees Pilar testify that Vanessa was the second shooter. He can't believe he didn't put it together sooner. He tells her that he doesn't care if she shot Ben and vows not to let Carmen or anyone that has anything to do with the trial hurt her. Matt plans to take her away from all this. Meanwhile, the DA questions Pilar about her relationship with Michelle. Michelle and Danny's hopes are shattered as Pilar begins to talk about Ben as if he were in the courtroom. She points him out and asks him to tell everyone that he forgives them. The DA thinks that she has proved her point and Michelle comments that this can't be happening.
Tuesday, February 22
Susan and Max try to have some time alone but keep getting interrupted by Lizzie. She doesn't want to go to bed but Susan says she should because she's still sick. Lizzie asks Susan if she's trying to get rid of her and Susan admits that she just wants to be alone with Max. Lizzie thinks Max really likes Susan. Susan tells her that one day she'll be old enough to do these things too and Lizzie goes to bed. Susan and Max go outside where she asks him about a school dance. He asks her to go and she agrees. She asks him if that means that he is her boyfriend and he says yes. She asks him what he likes about her and he tells her that she was there for him during this hard time with Drew. They kiss and Susan suggests they go to her house to hang out. She gives him a key and tells him to meet her there later tonight.
Reva wonders what's going on when she finds Josh and Olivia in the livingroom. Josh tells her that he and Marah have worked everything out and that he will be staying there while she's gone. Josh and Olivia go outside. Reva knows what Marah has done and doesn't like it at all. She says it's not fair to Josh. Marah wants Reva to let her do her dirty work while she's gone and begs her to let them stay at the house. Reva doesn't know. Outside, Josh apologizes for canceling. He promises to make it up and Olivia asks him not to make promises he can't keep. She admits she is being silly and says that she understands that he has responsibilities. Olivia asks why Marah and Shayne can't stay with him and he explains that Marah was talking about parties and he doesn't have beds for them at his place. Josh goes inside and Olivia says that she know what Marah is up to. Reva says goodbye to Marah and tells her not to get her hopes up too high. Josh walks Reva out and Olivia tells Marah they can spend some time together but she isn't interested. Olivia says to herself that Marah might as well get used to her because she isn't going anywhere. Outside, Reva thanks Josh for agreeing to stay. She says she knows this is probably the last place he wants to be. He tells her that it's no trouble because he wants to be with the kids. He knows she's worried about Hawk and tries to comfort her. He tells her it's hard watching your parents grow old. Olivia interrupts them and Reva leaves.
The DA and Ross argue about Pilar's sanity. Pilar begs Carmen to tell everyone the truth. Ross asks for a recess and Pilar begs Carmen to prove to everyone that she is not crazy. Bill and Danny to take Pilar to the back and the judge tells Ross that the only way that Pilar's testimony is admissible is if a doctor finds her sane. He adjourns court and Michelle tells Ross that she is sure that Pilar is telling the truth. Drew can't believe Carmen would shoot Ben because she's the only one besides Drew who loved him. Jesse tries to convince her it's true but she thinks he would say anything to keep Michelle safe. She tells him to go and David approaches her. She tells him that nobody cares that her father was murdered but he says he does. He offers to listen and she talks about Ben and how Jesse always choses Michelle over her. David wonders if she's had any time away from this situation and she admits she hasn't . He offers to take her to dinner. Jesse watches as they leave together. Bill keeps Carmen away from Pilar and takes her to the hospital. Danny can't believe that he didn't realize it was Carmen sooner. He says that he and Pilar are though with Carmen but Carmen says she will always be their mother. Danny tells her that they don't have a mother. Ross tells Rick to get Pilar's evaluation done tonight. Michelle and Abby wonder if Vanessa was really involved in this. Danny apologizes to Michelle for not stopping his mother. He is afraid that Pilar won't recover and Michelle tells him to go be with her. He leaves and Michelle confronts Carmen for setting her up. She tells Carmen that Vanessa will wake up and tell the truth. Carmen continues to deny it all and Michelle tells her that even if she spends the rest of life in jail she will have Danny's love and Carmen won't. At the hospital, Matt tells the doctor that he is taking Vanessa out of the hospital. The doctor refuses but Matt insists. He tells Vanessa that he is taking her somewhere safe and he won't let them pin Ben's murder on her. Matt and Vanessa arrive at the cabin and Matt tells her that everything she needs is there. He vows that no one is going to take her away form him again. Meanwhile, Bill and Pilar arrive at the hospital and Bill tells Pilar that he knows that she is telling the truth and that he loves her. Danny and Rick arrive and Danny asks Rick to help Pilar. Rick takes her and Danny and Bill can't believe that Pilar is this far-gone. Bill is sure that Vanessa wouldn't let Michelle go to jail if she were awake. Danny asks to see Vanessa. When they get to the room it is empty. Danny asks the doctor but finds out nothing. Bill finds out from a neighbor that Matt packed up all their stuff and left. Bill doesn't know where they could be and Rick brings Pilar back out. Bill tells her goodnight and Danny promises to look out for her better from now on. Carmen watches though the door. Bill goes to look for Vanessa and Michelle arrives. Danny tells her that he doesn't know where Vanessa is but he vows to find her.

Shayne comes home and finds Josh waiting on him. Josh questions him about practice and then admits he knows Shayne quit the team. Shayne tells him that he can't sit around and act like a family when they aren't. Josh knows it must be hard for Shayne to see him with another woman. He tells Shayne that part of him wants to come back home but if that happens, it won't be for a while. Shayne asks him about his relationship with Olivia and Josh tells him it's none of his business. He says that Olivia isn't the bad guy and he shouldn't judge him until he gets to know her. Shayne apologizes for some of the things he's said and Josh assures him that he will always love him.
Harley talks to Cassie from the palace. She plays with Richard’s things but Phillip doesn’t like it. She wants him to take a break and have some fun but he is focused on the accident. He tells her that he doesn’t have time and she says that she wants her friend and partner back. They play with Richard’s stamp. Harley leaves the room and Phillip goes over all the wishes he would grand form himself like not sleeping with Beth and getting her pregnant. Harley returns with a tiara on. He tells her that he’d do anything for her and that he loves her. They begin to get romantic and Harley remembers the last time she was in San Cristobel when the plane crashed. She wonders how Richard and Cassie are handling their jobs in Texas.
Cassie and Richard arrive at the bar in Texas. Richard thinks it's too dangerous for Cassie to get involved with. She tells him that it's not just his problem, it's their problem. She is anxious to go inside but he is hesitant. She tells him she knows this is dangerous and will be careful. Before she goes inside, he stops her and puts a wedding ring on her finger. She feels bad because she doesn't have one for him. He tells her that a lot of married men don't wear rings. She tells him it's okay if he doesn't want to wear one when they get married but he says he does. They go inside and the owner tells them that he thinks Cassie will be a better bartender and sends Richard to wash dishes. Richard tells Cassie that they won't start investigating until tomorrow. Cassie finds the man they're looking for, Gil, at the bar and starts asking him questions. He likes her and tells her he'll have to take her to this island he just came back from. Richard tells him to keep his hands off the wife and Cassie drags him into the kitchen. She says she was getting somewhere before he saved her. She tells him he's got to let her do what she has to do. Edmund arrives at the bar.
Matt makes sure the nurse at the cottage won't say anything to anybody. He tells Vanessa she's safe here and he's going to find out what made her sick. He puts the lip balm on her lips and Vanessa begs him to stop. Matt tells her she's going to make it because it's just him and her. He tells her he needs her to fight too. He remembers some past times they have spent there and the night before they found her in the car. He says he can't remember if he told her he loved her or kissed her. He tells her he loves her now and kisses her. He notices something is wrong with the lip balm and wipes it off her lips. Matt gives it to the nurse to be analyzed in the lab. Matt tells Vanessa he is going to pull her back and Vanessa believes she will get better now.
Michelle and Danny arrive at the courthouse and he beats himself up for not seeing the truth about his mother before. Ross arrives and tells them that Pilar was found unstable and that her testimony is not admissible. Ross assures them that the jury won’t be able to forget what she said. Danny wants to call Carmen to the stand but Ross tells him to stay out of this. Bill arrives and tells Michelle and Danny that he thinks that Carmen will find Vanessa and killer. He points out that Vanessa’s health began to decline when she began hanging around the hospital. Ross tells them all that he can use Pilar’s testimony if he doesn’t refer to it directly. He goes to write his closing arguments and Danny decides that there is only one way to save Michelle. Bill and Michelle check the airports for Matt and Vanessa but don’t find them. Ross tells Michelle to feel good about the case and Michelle realizes that Danny is gone.
Carmen calls the hospital to speak to Pilar but isn’t allowed. Ray arrives and tells her that she is the reason that Pilar is in the hospital to begin with. He tells her that he knows that she shot Ben and he asks her to confess. She refuses and he takes off his collar and says that would not stand between him and the truth. He is sure that God would want him to do this but Carmen mocks him. She tells him to go ahead but is sure that the jury will believe her. He tells her that she isn’t getting away with anything because she has lost her children. He leaves to go pray for her. Carmen searches for Vanessa and Danny arrives.

Cassie and Richard argue over her questioning Gil. Edmund arrives and talks to Gil about his job in San Cristobel. Edmund wants to make sure the next accident has a more drastic affect. Gil tells him that the new bartender was asking questions about San Cristobel but he didn't say anything. Edmund asks Red to speak to the new bartender but he won't let him back in the kitchen. Cassie and Richard go to their room and she gives him a massage. He asks her what she would have done if he hadn't rescued her from Gil. She jokes that she would have said she was pregnant and then realizes how funny that really is. Richard tries to reassure her that the doctors could be wrong and they won't know until they try to have a child. Meanwhile, Red points out the bartender to Edmund but it isn't Cassie. He wants to talk to her and she seems interested in him. She calls Cassie and asks her to come back down and cover for her and Cassie agrees.
Josh and the kids eat pizza and joke about eating out the whole time Reva is gone. They remember when Josh tried to cook for Reva. Reva calls and Marah tells Shayne to stop acting like a jerk. Shayne is sure that Josh will leave as soon as Reva comes home. Shayne talks to Reva and then Marah does. Reva tells Marah not to manipulate and Marah says that she isn’t. The three of them play ball in the hall and Olivia arrives and interrupts them. She says she has good business news and that Josh needs to make a phone call. Marah and Shayne go to the hall and plan a way to deal with Olivia. Josh makes the call and gets the deal. They are very happy. Shayne spills his drink on Olivia and Marah yells at him not to treat Olivia that way. They argue and Shayne talks back to Josh. Josh walks Olivia out and apologizes. She says that the kids just need time. Marah and Shayne celebrate getting rid of Olivia. Outside, Olivia tells Josh that she isn’t giving up on making the kids like her. Inside, Marah tells Shayne that Olivia will never be a part of this family and that Olivia will hate what she does next.
Selena tells Drew that the trial will be over soon one way or another. Drew says it won't be over until Michelle is locked up. Buzz suggests she might be innocent and Drew thinks he is as bad as Jesse. Drew thanks David for taking her to dinner and getting her mind off things. Jesse tells David to stay away from Drew. She tells him he doesn't have any right to speak to David that way anymore. David tells her he'll be around if she needs him. Jesse tells Drew that he sees now that her revenge against Michelle is more important than their relationship. He says he'll have his things out of the loft tonight.
Carmen denies any involvement in setting Michelle up. Danny tells her she will go to the courthouse and tell what she knows. She tells him he has no proof and he says she is his proof. He says that he is being a true Santos without a conscience. He says that if she doesn't come with him, he'll tell every family in the midwest how she has cheated them over the years. He wonders how long she will last after that. Carmen doesn't think he would do that but he assures her he would. Danny thinks it's ironic that she will be the one to save Michelle.
Michelle worries about where Danny is. Ross tells her that she must act confident for the jury and not worry about him. She tells Rick and Abby and Bill can’t find him. Court resumes and that DA begins her closing arguments. She tells them that Michelle had motive, means and opportunity to kill Ben. She says that Ross wants them to feel sorry for Michelle but she tells them to feel sorry for Ben. Selena goes and sits with Drew. The DA finishes and Michelle tells Ross that she needs Danny. Ross begins his closing statements and points out that the most important part of this trial is reasonable doubt. He reminds them that the forensics expert stated there were two shooters, which contradicts the DA’s theory. He also notes that the DA didn’t restate the scenario in her closing arguments that she stated in her opening arguments because the facts don’t fit that scenario. He says that whoever did kill Ben is setting up Michelle to take the fall. He points out that the only evidence is the bloody gloves and it makes to sense for Michelle to keep them. He also says that Ms. Lockhart has come into money recently and can’t explain where it came from. He states that Carmen Santos is the only one who hates Michelle enough to do this to her. Ross says that Michelle didn’t really have any more motive to kill Ben than anyone in the town. He finishes by telling the jury that he has faith that they will use reasonable doubt and do the right thing by finding Michelle not guilty. The jury leaves and the judge calls recess just as Danny arrives with Carmen and tells them that Carmen has something to say that will change the outcome of this trial.
Friday, February 25
Richard thinks that Cassie is too exhausted to take over Rozelle's shift. Cassie assures him that she is fine and wants to get to the bottom of the accident. Downstairs, Edmund tells Gil that he's about to find out what the girl knows. Richard convinces Cassie to rest and he'll take care of everything else. As she is sleeping, Richard kisses her and it wakes her up. He lies and says he was trying to reach over her to turn the lamp off. She says she must have been dreaming because it felt like she was being kissed. Rozelle calls and asks Cassie if she's coming down and Cassie says yes. She tells Richard she is going to work on Gil and getting Richard a job with his construction crew. Richards asks her to be careful. Rozelle sees them come down and goes in the back with Edmund. He tells her he knows about the accident and she pours her drink on him. She can't believe he knows about her car accident and starts defending her injuries. He realizes she doesn't know anything and she leaves. Richard meets a member of the construction crew and tells him he needs a good job. Edmund assures Gil that the girl didn't know anything and moves on to their next plan. He tells him that this time one of the workers must die so their will be a public outcry. Gil wonders why Edmund just doesn't have Richard killed but Edmund says no. He says that he only thinks Richard isn't the right ruler for the country and that's all. Gil agrees and Edmund comments that soon he will take his rightful place, even if someone has to die. Cassie talks to Gil about San Cristobel and Rozelle returns wanting her shift back. Richard sees Cassie and Gil go upstairs to talk but gets hung up with the crew member. He finally gets away and heads upstairs. Meanwhile, Cassie asks Gil to give her husband a job. A man walks up asking about the job and Gil asks Cassie to go inside since the guys will be bothering him all night. She goes in and Gil asks the man to make sure her husband doesn't interrupt them. Gil tells Cassie he can give her more than just a job for her husband and starts to kiss her.
Danny bursts in with Carmen and Carmen tells the judge that she wants to tell him the truth about Ben's murder. The DA objects but the judge wants to hear from Carmen. Carmen says that she is the one who went to Ben's apartment with a gun but then she stops and says that she can't do what Danny wants her to do. They all argue and Drew butts in. Carmen tells everyone that Danny threatened to destroy her if she didn't confess. In the hall, everyone has to drag Danny away from Carmen. Michelle vows that Carmen will never have Danny back. Ross reprimands Michelle for her behavior. Ross tries to call Ed and he asks Abby to let the judge know that he is out there on a phone call. He reaches Ed and finds that Ed doesn't understand what is going on with Michelle. Ross tries to explain that she needs her father. Ross can't believe how Ed could leave his children like this and tells him to come home. Ross asks if he is drinking again and Ed hangs up. Abby comes back and Ross explains that he doesn't know what is going on with Ed but he doesn't want Michelle or Rick to find out just yet. Inside, Drew tells Selena that she can't believe that Danny would sacrifice his own mother for Michelle. Ross returns and tells Michelle that she is sabotaging her case because the judge has the power to overturn the jury's verdict. Jesse tries to calm Danny down and Rick yells at Danny for ever thinking that Carmen would confess. Carmen swears to Danny on his father's grave that she didn't do it. He tells her that he believes Pilar. Carmen admits that she wants Michelle to pay for killing Mick but she wouldn't do anything to drive him away. He tells her not to come near him or Pilar and she is devastated. Jesse tries to calm Rick down but Rick calls Danny a liar. Michelle nearly passes out and Danny catches her. They all leave Carmen alone in the courtroom. Outside, Bill calls Frank to hear from Matt and Vanessa but Frank hasn't heard from them. Then he calls the hospital to speak to Pilar but can't. Rick apologizes to Ross for snapping at Danny. Abby invites Ross to dinner but he declines. Rick asks if he has reached Ed and Ross says that he hasn't. Rick thanks him for being such a good friend.
Susan agrees to play dolls with Lizzie but is secretly planning to sneak out to be with Max. Max calls to confirm their plans and she tells him that she will take the bus to her house. Lizzie comes back down and is disappointed when Susan tells her she has to go to a friend's house to study. Lizzie notices that Susan is wearing Beth's perfume and threatens to tell her. Susan promises to play with her later and is shocked when Lizzie tells her that Beth and Jim are coming home tonight. She tries to get a hold of Max but remembers she told him not to answer the phone. Thinking the bus will take too long, she goes and gets Lillian's car keys. Lizzie wants to know what she's doing and Susan tells her the truth. She convinces Lizzie not to say anything and promises to be home soon. In the car, Lizzie surprises Susan by telling her that she snuck in. Lizzie believes sisters are supposed to do everything together. Susan starts to yell at Lizzie and the car goes out of control.
Monday, February 28
Michelle wonders what the jury is thinking right now. Rick and Abby try to comfort her but she can't stop thinking about it. Rick apologizes to Danny for what he said at the courthouse. He tells him that seeing Abby in jail drove him crazy and he doesn't want to see his sister go. Danny knows Carmen is framing Michelle and vows that it's not over yet. Abby tells Michelle she has to have hope. Rick and Abby leave Michelle to rest and she tells Danny that this could be her last night of freedom. She starts talking about how she wanted to do more with her life. She thinks she has been selfish and hasn't accomplished anything. Danny reminds her that she saved his life and he owes her everything. Danny tells her that he’d be dead if he hadn’t met her and that she changed him into a better man. She remembers how she fought he feelings for him at first and he tells her that his fantasy is that they had met a different way. He tells her that she can’t give up hope and that she taught him that. He gets out a box of old letters to Michelle. They are letters of thanks and she finds one from her mom. Danny gives her something to make her sleep and they get into bed. She decides not to take it because she wants to cherish every moment with him.
Gil comes on to Cassie and tells her he might give her husband a job. She leads him on trying to get him to make the offer. Richard arrives outside but Gil's friend stops him from going in. He asks Richard to go back downstairs with him and pulls him away. Cassie tells Gil that if he gives her husband a job, she'll be alone and can do whatever she wants to. Gil starts to kiss her and Richard busts in and asks what's going on. Cassie tells him that Gil is there to offer him a job. Gil says it's his if he wants it and Cassie assures him he does. Gil leaves and Cassie is happy that she got him the job. Richard wonders what Gil is expecting in return. Cassie explains that she was playing Gil. She says that she has been around guys like that for a long time but Richard doesn’t want to thinks of that. Cassie says that she never compromised herself when she was stripping. They argue and she wants to know why he can’t let her help him. He says he won’t offer her as a sacrifice and says he forbids it. Cassie gets upset and snaps at him for bullying her. He says he just wants to take care of her. She says she is tired and wants to go to bed. Richard makes a bed on the floor and Cassie asks what he is doing. He says he is a gentleman and would never allow her to sleep on the floor. She gets in bed and Richard sees a rat. She suggests they share the bed and makes a row of pillows to divide it in half. He says no but sees the rat again and gets into bed with her. She grins to herself and tells him goodnight.
Max lights candles and prepares for Susan to arrive. He practices what he is going to say to her. He wonders where she could be and starts to call but changes his mind. Outside, Beth and Jim arrive home from their honeymoon. Jim tells Beth he wonders what the baby will look like. Jim carries her through the door and finds Max waiting inside. He asks Max what he is doing there and where Susan is. Meanwhile, Phillip recognizes Lillian's car and is surprised to find Susan and Lizzie inside. Phillip and Harley are upset to learn that Susan was driving the car. Susan apologizes and Harley wants to know what is going on with her. Lizzie wants her mother and Susan tells them that Beth and Jim came home tonight. Max tells Jim that nothing happened with him and Susan. Lizzie rushes in and Phillip tells them that there was an accident. Jim can't believe Susan stole the car and wonders how he can ever trust her again. Phillip calls Rick to come check on Lizzie and Susan apologizes to Beth. Beth tells her that sorry isn't good enough this time because she almost killed Lizzie. Harley wants to hear the whole story and Susan explains that she was on her way to warn Max about Jim and Beth. Beth gives her a hard time and Jim tries to calm her down. She has stomach pains and Harley stands up for Susan. Rick arrives to check on Lizzie. Max asks Susan if she is OK and she apologizes for her bad idea. Harley stops Jim from breaking Susan and Max apart. She explains that she was just like Susan when she was young and that Max would be more exciting if he was off limits. Phillip tries to calm Beth down. She says that she was just upset to see their child like that the same way that Harley and Jim were scared for Susan. She points out what a strong bond a child is. Rick checks Lizzie out and lets her listen to her heartbeat. He asks her about her cold and if she's had any headaches. Lizzie doesn't want to tell him anything. Beth, Jim, Harley and Phillip continue to argue over how to handle the situation with Max and Susan. Rick notices that Lizzie has bruises all over her arms and asks her where she got them. She tells him that they didn't go away this time. Rick tells everyone that he is taking Lizzie to the hospital.

Josh apologizes to Olivia for Shayne’s behavior. Marah and Shayne come down and Marah is very nice to Olivia. Shayne asks what she is doing and Marah vows that soon Josh will never want to see Olivia again. Josh and Shayne leave Marah and Olivia alone. Marah tells her that it was her idea to spill the juice on her and apologizes. She tells Olivia that she has mixed feelings about her seeing Josh. She asks if she is just seeing Josh to get back at Reva. Olivia explains that she cares about Josh and Marah asks if she loves and wants to marry him. Marah begins to talk about a guy she has a crush on and asks Olivia how to snag him like she snagged Josh. Olivia notices Marah’s hand in her purse and tells her that she did do something underhanded to reel Josh in. Olivia tells her a story and Josh comes back in. Marah tells him that there is something that he needs to hear and Olivia tells him that it is a tape that Marah made. Marah is shocked and Olivia makes up a story that it is a new band. Josh goes to get Olivia’s briefcase and Olivia confronts Marah about the tape recorder. Josh comes back and he and Olivia leave.
Cassie dreams of sharing I Love You’s with Richard in bed and wakes up. She wishes he knew how much she wants him and thinks about ruining last night. He rolls over on her. He wakes up and apologizes. He apologizes for his behavior last night also. She apologizes for overreacting but explains that this all reminds her of her past and how different they are. He tells her that she is an extraordinary woman. She says that their situation is awkward and is hopeful when he says it was frustrating in bed with her last night. He asks if she would have minded if he had done something more and she says now. She says that she wants him to be more forward because it seems natural. Gil knocks on the door and tells Richard that there is a crew meeting downstairs. Gil leaves and Cassie wonders if Edmund is the one behind the sabotage but Richard explains that Phillip didn’t think that was the case. Richard leaves for the meeting and Cassie wonders how she can keep pretending that she doesn’t love him. Meanwhile, Edmund finds Carmen at the courthouse and brings her greetings from Texas. After a crack about Pilar, she tells him to go away. She says she doesn't want to know any of the details of what's going on in Texas. Edmund tells her that this time one of the workers has to die and asks her if she knows any of them. She says no but tells him to make sure none of this can be traced back to her. Gil calls and Edmund reminds him of the plan. Edmund tries to make a play for Carmen but she turns him down. They are interrupted by another phone call and Carmen excuses herself. Gil tells the men that they leave the day after tomorrow. A guy leaves Gil’s phone with Richard and he pushes redail. Gil grabs it just as Edmund answers. He can tell that Richard doesn’t like him because of Cassie and decides to do something about it. He calls Edmund again to make sure that he doesn't care who the person is that dies. Edmund tells him to handle it. Cassie decides to tell Richard how she feels and gets into the shower. She comes out in a towel just as Richard comes in. He apologizes and she goes to get dressed. He tells her that they only have until day after tomorrow and is distracted by her. He asks he to meet him downstairs to talk. She decides to tell him everything. Downstairs, Richard interrupts Cassie and tells her that this is not the time to become distracted because it is a dangerous situation. He wants to wait to relax until they get back to San Cristobel. Gil vows that in a few days Richard will be history.
Lizzie is anxious to get out of the hospital but Rick wants to run more tests. He tells everyone that there was a mix-up in the lab. Lillian follows Rick outside and tells him she knows there was no mix-up. She says she knows what kind of tests he's running and he tells her not to jump to conclusions. Lillian prays that the results are wrong. Susan arrives and Phillip and Harley give them some time alone. Susan apologizes for the accident. She tells Lizzie that she thinks of her as a real sister. Beth and Jim see them and decide to give them some time. Beth tells Jim that she thinks Susan is taking responsibility and is sorry she was so rough on her last night. She thinks they should be grateful that both girls are safe. A nurse tells Phillip he has a phone call and he goes outside to find Rick waiting on him. Rick tells him he has to talk to him about Lizzie. Inside, everyone is playing with her. Lillian comes and gets Beth and Phillip tells her that Lizzie is sick. Beth doesn't believe it and tells Phillip he's scaring her. Phillip says that he's scared too because Lizzie has leukemia.
Wednesday, March 1
Phillip tells Beth that Lizzie has leukemia. Jim and Harley come out and learn the news. Harley can't believe it. Phillip wants to know everything there is to know about the disease. Rick gives him the information and tells him that he has called in some specialists. Rick tells them that the first thing they have to do is talk to Lizzie. Inside, Lizzie and Susan wonder what is taking everyone so long. Phillip asks Rick what they are supposed to tell her. Rick says they have to tell Lizzie the truth. Phillip believes Lizzie will ask questions and wonder why she has it. Rick can't answer that. Susan comes out and hears Beth ask why her daughter had to get leukemia. Susan remembers that her mother died from cancer and believes Lizzie will die too. Harley and Jim take her aside and try to calm her down. She feels bad for the things she said to her and they try to reassure her that Lizzie knows that Susan cares about her. Edmund finds Lillian crying outside Company. She tells him the news about Lizzie and he offers his sympathy. He tells her that when he was young he was very sick and almost died. He says that the worst feeling was thinking that he did something wrong to upset his parents. Lillian thanks him for the insight. When she gets dizzy, he offers to take her back to the hospital so he can see Beth. Phillip and Beth prepare to tell Lizzie that she's sick. Rick tell them they have to be positive so Lizzie will have the strength to fight this. They go inside and tell her about the disease. She asks them if she will be okay and they try to assure her she will be. Alan overhears them talking to her about it and can't believe it. Harley tells him how sorry she is. Alan believes it was caused by some work he had done on the stables and vows to fire all the construction workers. Harley tells him that sometimes these things just happen. She suggests he just be a grandfather to Lizzie now because she needs him. Phillip and Beth come out and Alan goes inside to see her. Phillip tells him that they are trying to make Lizzie believe she will be okay and Alan says she will be. Phillip tells Harley that Lizzie took the news well and believes that they can protect her from anything. Edmund arrives with Lillian and tells Beth that he is there if she needs anything. Jim tells Phillip he has been through this before and assures him that Beth and Lizzie will be in good hands. Phillip watches Alan with Lizzie. Alan tries to talk around it but Lizzie tells him she knows she's really sick. She tells him not to worry because she's not going to die.
Bill arrives at the courthouse and Abby and Ross tell him that the jury asked for the forensics testimony again. Bill tells them that he hasn’t heard from Vanessa or Matt yet. The DA wants to make a deal with Ross about Michelle. She is nervous that Michelle is going to win. Doris offers 25 years with the possibility of parole this time. Ross says that he’ll tell Michelle but he knows that Michelle isn’t guilty and feels good that Doris is nervous. Danny and Michelle wait in the courtroom. He thinks it is good that the jury is taking their time. He stops a bailiff and he tells Danny that the jury has requested the forensics testimony be read over again for them. They get very excited. Danny tells Michelle that he talked to the architect that is building their house today but Michelle is afraid to hope. Abby comes in and tells Michelle and Danny that the DA wants to make a deal with Ross. Danny is happy but Michelle is skeptical. Michelle asks Bill how he is and can see that he is tired. She asks about Pilar and agrees with him that she is telling the truth. Ross comes and tells Michelle and Danny about Doris’s offer. Michelle refuses and Ross gets a page that the jury has reached a verdict. Court resumes and the jury comes in. Michelle tries to analyze their expressions. The judge asks if they have reached a verdict and the foreman says yes.
Thursday, March 2
Cassie wonders how they are going to figure out who is behind the construction job before the crew goes back to San Cristobel. Richard can only think about waking up beside her and seeing her in the towel. They agree that they can't be distracted right now and go downstairs. Gil gets rid of Richard and starts to tell Cassie about the paradise he will show her in San Cristobel. Richard comes back and gets Gil away from Cassie. Richard tells Gil that he has put his hands on his wife one too many times and tells him that he isn't telling them enough about what they are going to do. The men agree and Richard tells Cassie to leave while they talk. Gil tells them that they know all that they need to know. He storms out and Richard apologizes to the guys and tells them that they all need to watch their backs. Inside, the Rose tells Cassie what a great man she has for standing up to Gil. She asks how Cassie met him and jokes about how he must have took her to his palace. She realizes that Cassie isn't that happy and asks about when he proposed to her. Cassie tells about how he found her at the strip club. Rose suggests how Richard and Cassie can have more fun in their lives by going to a dance tomorrow night. They leave and Cassie returns in one of Rose's dresses. Richard is speechless. She tells him that it is part of the plan by going to the dance and getting closer to the workers. He tells her that everything she does is right.
At the courthouse, the jury finds Michelle guilty of murder. Ross asks that each juror give his verdict. Michelle tunes everything else out and wonders how all twelve of them could think she was guilty. Bill and Holly talk about what has happened. Holly believes that even if Ed were there, he couldn't save his daughter from this. Ross tells Michelle that he will appeal and not to give up yet. Selena and Abby talk about what this means for Drew and Michelle. Jesse thinks Drew must be happy now that an innocent woman is going to jail. Drew tells him that she didn't find Michelle guilty, the jury did. Jesse asks her if she's happy now that she got what she wanted and walks away. Jesse asks Buzz how Drew can feel like that. Drew tells Selena that she is not happy about this. Selena tells her to feel what she feels and Drew says that she didn't want this to happen. Jesse tells Buzz that he loves Drew but he believes Michelle. Bill comes over and says that they have to find a way to save Michelle. Danny reassures Michelle that everything is OK. She begins telling him to give her clothes away and withdraw her from school. He tells her to stop talking like that. He vows to do everything in his power to get her out. She says she has no idea how to say goodbye to him. Rick tells Abby that Michelle is never coming home and says that it is over. Abby tells him that isn't true. He realizes that all his family is gone and he remembers Christmases in the past when Michelle would decord the tree. He breaks down and says he will miss her so much. Holly reassures Ross that he can build a strong appeal but Ross beats himself up thinking he should have done more. He tells Holly that he should have taken the second deal but Holly knows that Michelle never would have taken it. Holly tells Ross that she is sure that Michelle won't get the death penalty. The baliff comes to take Michelle to her cell and everyone tells her goodbye. Ross, Bill, Rick, Abby, Jesse, Drew, and Danny all stay in the courtroom in disbelief. Michelle gets to her cell and lies down alone on her cot. Carmen and Edmund kiss and toast to their victory.
Friday, March 3
Danny visits Michelle and gets to talk to her through the window on the phone. He tells her that he won’t sleep until she is out of there. He tells her not to give up. He says he has to go work on getting her out and he leaves. He runs into Bill in the hall and Bill goes in. Michelle is glad to see him. He says he thinks Vanessa can get her out if they can just find her. She begins to tell him about how loud it is in her cell. He tries to reassure her and she says she can’t be strong for everyone and needs to talk to him. Bill is sure that Carmen can’t pull this off forever. Bill tells Michelle not to give up and then he has to leave. Michelle asks the guard if she can talk to her lawyer.
Josh gets some blueprints from Matt but there is not return address. Olivia wonders how he is taking care of Vanessa. Danny arrives and asks where Matt took Vanessa. Josh explains that he doesn’t know where Matt is and says that Vanessa is very ill and can’t help them right now. Danny gets another idea and asks Josh to help him make Carmen believe that Vanessa is well enough to testify even if she really isn’t. Josh doesn’t want the kids involved and Olivia suggests they use the potting shed in the back. Danny agrees that anywhere Frank could hide with a tape recorder is fine. Olivia offers to be the decoy but Josh is opposed to it. Olivia says that it is something that Reva would do. Meanwhile, Carmen talks to Edmund on the phone about how perfect her life is and Pilar arrives. She tells her that she is there to make sure that she makes things right for Michelle. Carmen is stunned and tells Pilar that she is not remembering that night right. She tells Pilar that she didn’t shoot Ben and that Michelle must have went and shot Ben after they left. Pilar is confused but sure that Vanessa knows the truth and will wake up and tell it. Carmen says that maybe Pilar isn’t ready for the truth yet and that she can’t trust her memory. Pilar says she wants to go back to the hospital and get well so that everyone will believe her. She leaves and Carmen feels bad but says that Michelle needs to stay right where she is. Danny arrives and gets a phone call from Josh. He acts like it is personal but he knows that Carmen is listening. He acts like Vanessa has been found and can speak. Josh hopes this will work. Josh asks Olivia if she is sure that she wants to do this. He tells her that she doesn’t have anything to prove to him.
Richard and Cassie arrive at the dance and enjoy themselves dancing. Richard goes to hang out with the guy’s and Gil asks him if he is related to a guy in Houston. Richard says no and that he doesn’t have any family. He apologizes for getting crazy the other day. Gil tells Rose that there is something not right with Dewayne. He asks her to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. Rose tells Gil that she wishes Richard’s brother wasn’t as bad as Stella told her and Gil know that Richard has been lying to him. Rose tells Richard that there are a lot of reasons that Richard wouldn’t want to talk about his brother. Richard goes to the bar and buys Roy a drink. Roy complements Richard for standing up to Gil the other day. He asks the guy about the job and Roy explains that some people got hurt last time and that he thinks he know who is the head of the operation. Cassie comes over and interrupts them. Cassie explains that Gil was on his way out there. They argue and Cassie says that she has to confess that she is having fun there. She says they are more free there and that he is good at being a good-ole-boy. She says that she doesn’t want him to change anything for her. Roy offers to buy him a drink. A guy walks up and calls him Richard and Richard punches him out.
Lizzie tells Beth that she thinks God is punishing her for not eating her vegetables. Beth explains that sometimes people just get sick. Phillip arrives and Beth tells him what Lizzie thought. Beth thinks that God is paying them back for their lies. Rick comes and Phillip tells him that he would understand if he needs to be with Michelle. Rick says that he wants to be there for Lizzie because he feels like he is useful there. Rick checks Lizzie and tells her that she can go home now. He jokes with her and Harley brings her some magazines. She gives Lizzie messages from her Aunt Alex and India. Lizzie thought that they didn’t get along but Harley explains that people can mellow over time. Harley explains that she likes Blake now but didn’t use to because they liked the same boys. Rick jokes about it and Harley says that he and Phillip used to like the same girls. Lizzie says that Phillip and Rick need to stay friends and not fight about it because her dad needs someone to talk to. Jim tells everyone that Susan has mad room for Lizzie while she takes her chemo and Phillip thinks that they should be living at the mansion now. Phillip apologizes to Jim and Beth agrees that it would be best for Lizzie if they moved back to the mansion. Rick comes and tells them all that Lizzie can go home now. Jim asks to speak to Rick about Beth and the baby. Phillip and Beth tell Lizzie that she will be moving back to the mansion while she is sick. She worries that Susan won’t like her because she is so much trouble but they all reassure her that she is not trouble. Rick comes to get Lizzie for a few last tests and Lizzie tells Beth to make extra vegetables because she’ll eat them all now. Beth breaks down and explains to Harley what Lizzie thinks. She tells Harley that it isn’t Lizzie’s fault but her own. Harley tells her not to blame herself because she didn’t do anything wrong. Beth says that she did do something wrong and Phillip overhears them.
