Edmund and Beth sail for Springfield. She tells him that she wishes they were on a magic ship where reality couldn't touch them. Edmund tells her that this is a magic ship and he kisses her hand. They have dinner and Beth talks about how generous Edmund has been to her and the kids. She says that something must be wrong with this picture because she is at peace. She tells him she has no homework to worry about or a feeding schedule to stick to. She says she doesn't mean to complain because she is very blessed. Edmund reassures her that Jim would want her to be happy and would be honored that she holds him in such high regard. Edmund tells her he knows he isn't Jim but would move heaven and earth to see her smile. He wants to help her live and thinks Jim would want that too. They start to kiss and Beth remembers Philllip. She calls him and he tells her the timing is ironic because he, Rick and Harley were just talking about her. Beth asks him to tell Harley that Susan is on her way home. He asks if she's on a plane and she tells him that Lillian volunteered to fly home with the kids. She says that she is sailing home on the royal yacht with Edmund. Phillip is angry and thinks she is dumping the kids for Edmund. They argue and he tells her to have fun and he'll take care of their children. Beth tells him to have fun playing full time daddy since that's all he wants anyway. They hang up and Edmund asks Beth how it went. She says not very well but that's Phillip's problem. Later, Edmund offers Beth a brandy but she thinks she should go to bed. They say goodnight and Beth starts to leave but stops. She turns around and Edmund tells her that wasn't the point of this trip. She tells him she knows that he told her he would wait until she was ready. She remembers that he told her he would wait until she came to him. She says she's here now and they kiss and fall onto the couch.

Frank tells Harley that something is going on but he can't tell her about it. She listens to his phone call with Josh and questions him about it but he changes the subject. Rick arrives and Harley pulls him to the side and tells him she knows Frank is hiding something. Rick is glad to see the fire back in her eyes. Phillip arrives and wonders if he's invited to come in. Michelle invites him in for the party but he's there to talk to Harley. They leave them alone and Phillip promises to be brief. Harley agrees it will be short because there is no recount, she will have her divorce. She keeps on talking but Phillip interrupts and says he gives up. He admits he ruined their marriage and the attempt to fix it. He tells her he loves her and he knows he hurt her. He thinks she knows that too but he sees the love and she sees the hurt. He says that he doesn't want to ruin the divorce and wants Zack to be able to see the love he came from. He reminds her that they've always been friends and he doesn't want to lose that. He tells her that he wasn't stalling the divorce out of stubbornness, he really thought it could work. He finally realized that it can't because as much as he can give her, she can't be his first love. He wishes it could be enough for her to be his last but it can't. He understands that she deserves to be somebody's entire would and not have chunks taken out from past lives. He says that she can have the divorce with no strings. Harley tells him that this is the man she fell in love with. She wonders why he can't be around all the time. Phillip tells her that he is, it's just that she isn't looking at him through the prism of Beth right now. They agree they don't hate each other and Rick comes back in. Phillip tells him about the divorce and he is sad it's come to this. Beth interrupts them with a phone call and Rick and Harley listen to Phillip get angry because of Edmund. After he hangs up, he tells them that Beth has dumped the kids to go sailing around with Edmund. Rick doesn't think it should matter because he has the kids. They argue over Phillip being selfish and Phillip says nobody gets that it's about the kids, not Beth. Buzz and Holly arrive for the party and Michelle welcomes them. Buzz tells Phillip he doesn't get to ruin his daughter's life on his son's birthday. Phillip thinks Buzz knows about ruining his daughter's life and reminds him that he ran out on the kids. He tells Harley that she has trust issues because of Buzz.

Olivia remembers Sam telling her she can't tell anyone about the plan or else Marah could die. Josh tells her that he can't keep his mind off Marah. She suggests that he call Frank and find out what they know. Frank tells Josh about the meeting with Danny and Johnny but can't go into any details because there are other people with him. He asks Josh not to tell anyone about this but Josh thinks he should tell Reva because he knows she's going crazy. Frank is worried that she will try to do something but Josh promises she won't. They hang up and Josh starts to call Reva but Olivia stops him. She doesn't think they should do anything until they hear more from Frank. She reminds him that he doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize Marah's rescue. Meanwhile, Reva looks at a picture of Marah and tells Noah she can't stand around waiting anymore. She goes outside and Noah goes after her. Reva is worried about how they are treating Marah. Noah tries to comfort her but she says she needs to talk to Josh and goes back inside. She calls and asks Josh if he knows anything. Olivia tries to stop him but Josh tells her about the meeting. She thanks him for telling her and thinks they need to go get the details from Frank. Josh tells her that he promised Frank they wouldn't get involved. Reva wants to come over but Josh suggests they come to her instead. They hang up and Olivia tells him that this is so predictable. He says that it's always best to be honest. Josh and Olivia arrive at Reva's and she asks them how they know Marah is okay. Josh doesn't think they would have called a meeting if she wasn't because they wouldn't have anything to bargain with. Noah agrees and thinks this is a good sign. Reva worries that Danny doesn't have any experience in hostage negotiations and wonders why they are even relying on him or the police. She wants Noah to do something but he reminds her he can't right now. She wants to go to Infierno to talk to Danny but Olivia yells for her to stop. Reva thinks Olivia knows more than she's saying but Josh doesn't believe it. Olivia tries to cover and tells them they can't get in the way. Noah realizes there must be a rescue attempt and Olivia admits that Sam told her about it. Reva tells her that if Marah is hurt she will hold her responsible. She wants to know where Marah is but Olivia refuses to tell them.

At the lighthouse, Danny, Ray and Tony watch as Sam climbs up. Sam falls to the ground and is in pain. Sam says he just got the breath knocked out of him and wants to try again. He realizes he's sprained his ankle but says he can wrap it for support. Tony thinks he has more guts than sense but he still climbs. He tells Tony he'll drop him some rope when he gets to the top. Tony worries about how many men are watching Marah. Danny worries about how long it's taking Sam to climb. Tony says he wants to be first to climb up because he feels responsible for leading Johnny to Marah. He and Ray argue over who should go up and Danny allows Tony to lead them in. Sam gets to the top and lowers the rope for Tony. Tony starts to climb as a guard comes to the top of the lighthouse to check things out forcing Sam to hide. Sam gets up and introduces himself. He asks if the guy is there to look at the stars.

Michelle wishes Phillip hadn't ruined the mood of the party. Holly reminds Buzz that he promised her dinner and they leave after wishing Frank a happy birthday. Frank tells Michelle that he is going to call a squad car to watch the house. Meanwhile, Reva wants Olivia to tell them where Marah is. Olivia refuses and says that Danny told them to stay out of it. Reva wants to call Frank but Olivia tries to stop her. Josh tells her to go ahead and call. Reva tells Frank that Danny is planning a rescue attempt now and Olivia knows about it. Frank tells her he'll come over and not to antagonize Olivia. Frank tells Michelle that Danny has taken matters into his own hands. She tells him that Danny is doing what he thinks is right. Frank tells her to lock up and asks Meta to watch out for her. Michelle tells Meta that a lot of people will be needing her prayers tonight. Michelle tells Meta that she can't sleep until she hears from Frank. She wonders why they can't trust Danny because he would never put Marah's life at risk. Meta changes the subject to her working with Claire and Michelle is sure that Claire is scared of her. Michelle wishes she were stronger too.

Marah asks one of the thugs to untie her so she can get some water. She then says she needs to go to the bathroom. When that doesn't work she fakes getting a cramp. Marah tells him he'll be sorry when her boyfriend gets there. The guy says her boyfriend might not think she's worth it because of her mouth. Meanwhile, Sam is telling one of the guards how he climbed up the lighthouse. He says he can show him how but the guy pulls out a gun. Tony makes his way to the top and takes the guy by surprise and knocks him out. Sam thinks staring down a gun was an incredible rush. Danny makes his way to the top and tells them not to get overconfident. Ray says a prayer for their safety and they prepare to go in. Meanwhile, Reva tells Olivia that if anything happens to Marah then she is responsible. Frank arrives and grills Olivia. Olivia tells them about the climbing equipment and that it is too late to stop them. Josh asks her who she doesn't trust and Frank threatens to go to Danny. Olivia begs him not to and asks for Josh's help. Josh tells Frank to call Danny. Meanwhile, Tony, Danny, Ray, and Sam arrive outside the door just as Danny's phone rings. Tony bursts in and throws the phone at the guy holding Marah. They struggle and Marah listens as a gun shoots. Tony unties her and she tells him that she was so scared that they shot him. She thanks him and he tells her that Sam was the one who climbed the lighthouse and she thanks him too. Danny returns the call to Frank and Frank yells at him. Danny says that he wants to meet at Reva's and then he will explain. As they all leave the lighthouse, Danny admits to Ray that he realizes that they could all be dead. He tells Ray that his prayer is what made all the difference. Danny brings Marah home and she hugs Reva and Josh. Danny explains that they were holding her in the lighthouse and that if Frank had gone in with a swat team Marah wouldn't have made it out. Noah asks how they managed getting her out and Danny tells them all about how Sam climbed the lighthouse and Tony saved Marah. Marah tells them all the Tony and Sam are heroes but Josh says that Tony is the reason that she was kidnapped in the first place. Danny guarantees Marah's safety and Ray tells them all that he is very proud of Tony because he put Marah's life above his own tonight. Josh refuses to listen to them and Danny and Ray leave. Marah thanks Tony and he leaves. Sam tells them all that Danny didn't take any chances with Marah's safety and Reva questions Sam for not going to the police. Sam doesn't want to argue and he just reminds them that Danny's plan worked. Josh tells Olivia and Sam to go on home and Marah tells Josh that he can go home too. Reva goes up to tell Shayne that Marah is OK and Marah tells Sam that she will never forget that he climbed the lighthouse for her. Josh, Olivia and Sam go outside and Sam goes on to the car. Josh tells Olivia that he understands that she was terrified for her brother but he says that he was also terrified for his daughter. He tells her that he is angry that she purposely withheld information about Marah from him.

Holly and Buzz arrive at Company and he serves her a chilli dog. She takes a small bite and he comments that this is the way she samples life. She gets up to leave and tells him that he's rude. He says that he's impatient and shares that trait with Harley. He thinks that you get to see your DNA through your children. Holly admits she had alot of guilt raising Blake but learned in AA not to be your own judge and jury. She eats the rest of the hotdog. Holly finishes two chili dogs and tells Buzz that he likes them better than Billy's barbeque. Buzz jokes that Nadine liked them both too and Holly asks Buzz what he was like when he was young. He tells her a story about when he was in the army and then he wonders why they always get so serious and changes the subject. He jokes with her about joining a flea circus and then asks her what she plans for the rest of her life. She tells him that she likes this better than screaming at each other and he wonders if they can keep it up.

Beth and Edmund are kissing and he tells her to tell him if she wants him to stop. She doesn't and they fall onto the couch. They are interrupted by a phone call and Edmund angrily tells whoever it is he isn't to be disturbed. He apologizes to Beth but she says she doesn't want to think and wants to stop feeling sad. She asks him to make love to her and they kiss again. They are interrupted by a knock at the door and Edmund gets more upset. A steward informs Edmund that Richard has made a ship to shore call and is requesting Edmund come back to SC. He says it's of grave importance to the state. Edmund picks up the phone and Richard tells him it took him long enough. Edmund wants to know what's going on and Richard explains that a plane will pick him up in 15 minutes to return him to SC. Edmund asks about Beth and Richard says he has made arrangements for her. He won't give any further details and they hang up. Edmund tells Beth he has been summoned back to SC. He says that the worst possible thing has happened. Beth gets dressed and Edmund apologizes for scaring her. He doesn't know what Richard wants but says that he is blamed if something falls off the mantle. Beth asks him what he thinks it is but he doesn't know. They hear the plane and Edmund tells her he wanted this trip to be special. Beth asks him to let her go with him. She says she wants to be with him and they hug. Edmund tells Beth that he doesn't know what to say and he tells her that he can't let her go. He says that he expects a chilly reception from Richard and she tells him that she can take a little reality along with the fantasy. She reminds him of everything that he has done for her and she tells him that she wants to be there for him because she cares so much about him. Edmund is speechless and he says that it will put his mind at ease of she is with her children. She begs him to trust her and tell her what this is about. He says that he doesn't know what it is and the phone rings. He kisses her and leaves.

Sam meets Josh and Olivia at Company and teases them about hashing things out. Josh says that he's waiting on Olivia to cool down. He tells her that he understands she was worried about Sam, but she should have told him what was going on. Sam reminds him that he climbed the lighthouse to save Marah and Olivia keeping that information a secret helped save her life. Olivia tries to tell him that it was Reva she didn't trust and she knew Josh would tell her. Josh admits he would because Reva needed to know. Olivia suggests that Sam leave them alone to finishing hashing things out. Sam agrees to go see Marah and leaves. Olivia understands Josh's point but tells him she didn't have any choice. She wishes her could see her point. She says that Sam was going to help Danny no matter what and she knew that Josh would tell Reva. Josh thinks that Olivia trusts Danny more than him but she says it's Reva she doesn't trust. She knew Reva would involve the police. Josh tells her that when it comes to Marah, she doesn't make the rules. He says that he and Reva do. Olivia thinks they should just agree to disagree and make guidelines for future arguments like this. He tells her that he isn't a child and doesn't want decisions made for him. She agrees and he says that they are a couple and should make decisions together. He asks if she wants to go see Marah with him but she doesn't want to make things worse with Reva. She offers some advice for Josh about Marah and Tony. She thinks he should lighten up because he is only making Tony more attractive to Marah by putting him out of reach. She asks if he remembers what it was like to want something you couldn't have when he was that age and he says yes and leaves.

Reva tells Marah she has an appointment with a therapist that Rick suggested. She says she's also going to do an expose on the Santos family so everyone in Springfield will know what kind of people they are. Marah gets upset and tells her she can't do that. She says that Tony isn't a mobster but Reva thinks the Santos family is into everything from extortion to murder. Marah says that Tony just runs the club with Danny. She says that he saved her but Reva doesn't think Marah would have needed saving if it wasn't for Tony. Marah gets angry and tells Reva she can't come up with a logical reason for her to stop seeing Tony. She accuses Reva of trying to ruin her life because Reva is bitter she screwed up her own with Josh. Later, Sam arrives and Reva isn't happy with him. Marah reminds her that Sam and Tony did save her and Sam agrees that Tony did a good thing. He thinks that Tony's action is what saved Marah. Reva tells him she plans to shine a big light on the mob so this won't happen again. Sam argues that doing that will only make the other families more angry with Danny which will put more people in danger. Reva agrees that he has a point and tells them she will sit on the story for now. She tells Marah that things are still over between her and Tony and she leaves. Sam asks Marah if she slept okay and she tells him she was scared. She said somehow she knew things would turn out okay because Tony would rescue her and he did. She says that Sam did too and thanks him. She sees his bandaged hands and he says he can't even brag about how he got injured. She thanks him again and says she knows they weren't exactly getting along. He tells her he'd never let anyone hurt her. He says she's made it clear who she wants to spend time with but he still thinks she made the wrong choice and leaves. Richard calls Reva and asks her to air his press conference. He promises it will be huge but can't give her any details. Josh arrives and Reva tells him she sees more of him now than when they were married. Josh tells Marah again that she can't see Tony. Marah tells them she'll just have to see Tony in secret and goes upstairs. Josh asks Reva if she thinks Marah would do that and Reva says that Olivia does things behind his back as well. Josh tells her he was going to apologize for Olivia's behavior if she'd given him a chance. Reva says that he married the woman, now he's stuck with her.

Dax tells Richard that the second set of DNA tests confirm the first and Richard says that he is no longer the prince of San Cristobel. Richard says that they must tell the truth but Dax asks him to keep it silent. Edmund arrives and wants to know what is so urgent. Richard tells him that he will be making a television address and that he wants Edmund to attend. Richard leaves and Edmund demands an explanation from Dax. Dax says that he isn't permitted to say anything else and Edmund orders him to speak. Dax leaves and Edmund decides that Richard would have had him arrested already if it were something he had done. Edmund tries to call Beth's cell phone but can't reach her. Meanwhile, Beth arrives at the mansion looking for the children and runs into Phillip. Phillip asks what happened to her sailing plans and Beth explains why they had to cut it short. Phillip asks her how long she will turn a blind eye to Edmund and Beth says that she doesn't want to discuss it. He tells her that he is talking to her as a friend and she asks him not to patronize her. Phillip calls Edmund evil but Beth will only agree that he is unpredictable. Phillip tells her that she needs someone stable in her life and he tells her that Edmund can't give her what she needs right now. He tells her to remember who she really is but she says that she was always weak and passive. He says that she survived more than anyone he knows and he remembers when they were in New York. He tells her that she made that experience beautiful for him and he says that she has buried that person inside her. She thinks that he wants her to be alone but he points out the relationships that she has had since they got divorced. He asks her to give herself some time to breathe and she tells him that they are not those kids anymore. She asks him why he didn't give her stability when he had the chance and they argue about how he left her in Arizona. They argue about what happened to their relationships after the plane crash and Beth tells him that she is getting what she needs from Edmund. She says that she doesn't have to explain anything to him and Phillip apologizes. He says that he just wants to help her and the kids and he begs her not to let Edmund meet her needs. Beth gets a phone call and it is Edmund. He asks her where she is and she asks Phillip for some privacy. Beth tells Edmund that she has been worried about him and he jokes away Richard's threats. He says that he wants to finish what they started last night and he can tell that she is blushing. Beth says that maybe is was a good thing that they were interrupted but he assures her that they will have a chance again. He tells her to take care and not to let Phillip bully her. They hang up and Phillip returns. Beth tells him that she is going to make other arrangements about where to stay but he begs her not to take the kids away. He tells her that she can have the whole west wing and she makes him agree to stay out of her personal life. Later, Richard prepares for the address and Edmund begs him to tell him what has happened. Edmund asks if it is about Cassie and Richard tells him that he isn't fit to speak her name.

Thursday, February 8

Frank explains to David and Harley about the situation with Marah and they get very upset that he didn't let them in on it. He reminds them that Marah got safely back to her family and they argue about Danny's involvement in the mob. Harley wants to go check on Marah and she tells David about being her nanny long ago. Frank vows that he will never trust Danny Santos again. Susan arrives and sits down with them. She tells them that her trip was amazing but that she is back to grim reality. She asks Harley for an advance on her allowance and she hears them talking about Marah's kidnapping. Frank tells her how Sam climbed the lighthouse to save Marah. Frank and David go back to the station and Harley tells Susan that she missed her. Susan asks her how things are with her and Phillip and Harley explains that Phillip isn't going to fight it now. She wishes Harley could be happy and Harley asks her if Susan has decided where she is going to live. Harley says that she understands that Beth is her connection to her father. She asks Susan if the reason they have grown apart is because she resents Harley because she is the parent she has left instead of Jim or Connie. Susan thinks that is crazy and she says that she doesn't know what she wants right now. Sam arrives and Susan asks him about being a major hero. Sam tells Susan about climbing the lighthouse and how he ran into one of the kidnappers at the top. He says that she's cuter than that guy. He asks about her trip to SC and she loved it. She wonders how he could ever leave it. She says that Edmund helped her a lot and he is surprised. He says that he believed Edmund would have made a move on Beth but Susan tells him Edmund was a perfect gentleman. She wonders why everybody thinks Edmund is so bad. Susan says that even if Edmund liked Beth that way it wouldn't matter. She says that she would be happy for them because nothing can bring her father back.

Danny tells Tony that he did a good job saving Marah and Tony asks Danny how he can deal with not seeing Marah. He says that there must be a way to get her parents to trust him but Danny tells him that things will never change. May comes in with Maria and she notices things that have changed since she was last there. He tells her that he trusts she is going to cooperate with him today and explains that they are meeting with the other heads of the families. Danny tells Tony to keep his head around Johnny and Tony agrees. Danny tells May to leave when all of his guests arrive and he returns to Maria. May quietly gets a small camera out of her purse. The men arrive and May takes pictures of them all. Maria makes small talk with Carlos and Carlos tells Danny that they all want this settled peacefully. They all sit down and Danny confronts Johnny for kidnapping Marah. Danny threatens them with chaos in the families and Carlos asks him to name his price. Danny tells them all that the Santos family is out for good. Danny tells everyone that he tried to do business a better way but he's tired of having to drag them into the new century. He says that his family is out and wants them to stay away from him. Carlos asks if he's taking his people off the streets and reminds him that other families will take over. Danny says the Santos family is done. Everyone leaves and Carlos tells Danny they aren't happy. Maria tells him she supports Danny and he leaves. Danny tells Maria and Tony that he feels like himself for the first time in a while. Tony says that the others got it, but they didn't like it. He thinks once they figure out the plan, it will be open season for the Santos family. He thinks Danny just painted a big target on the backs of their guys on the streets. Danny tells them that everyone has been reassigned and they are out of that kind of business. Tony doesn't like it and Danny says there will be no more violence. Meanwhile, May makes a phone call saying that she needs an in person debriefing.

Edmund comes in and demands to know what is going on now. Richard tells him that WSPR will be carrying the address so they will all find out tonight. Edmund wanders around and tries to find out what is going on. He asks Dax if he knows what it is and Dax wonders why Edmund always assumes the worst. Dax tells him to relax. Meanwhile, Lillian tells Beth that she is going to work some extra shifts to make up for what she missed while they were in San Cristobel. She asks Beth why she came home early and Beth says that she only came back because Edmund was called back to San Cristobel. Beth explains to Lillian how Edmund saved her after the fire but Beth doesn't want to talk about it anymore. She says that she needs to make her own decisions and that she is focused on where she and the kids are going to live. Lillian mentions to Beth about Richard's address tonight and Beth wonders if that is why Edmund was called back home.

Richard talks to Cassie on the phone. He tells her he needs her to stay put for a couple more days just in case there is unrest. He assures her she is with him in his heart. Edmund watches as Richard hangs up then says he needs Cassie now more than ever. Harley, Susan and Sam gather around the TV at Company to watch Richard's announcement. Reva comes on and says they will be going to Richard shortly. Richard greets the people and tells them that this is the most difficult thing he's ever done. Edmund watches with curiosity. Richard explains that evidence has been found that shows he's not the rightful heir to the throne. He says that he is the son of Prince George but Princess Charlotte is not his mother. He tells them that her child was stillborn and he was brought to the palace to replace him. Everyone watching is shocked including Edmund. Harley thinks this has to be some kind of joke and Beth is thrilled that Edmund is getting what he always wanted. Richard goes on to say that Edmund is the rightful heir but he cannot in good conscience tell the people that Edmund is fit to rule. He says that Edmund has committed certain crimes that he kept secret because he believed Edmund would never rule. He says that these facts will be given to the royal council to be given to the people so they can decide who should rule. Richard ends his annoucement and Susan is upset because Sam and Harley are backing Richard. She thinks he betrayed Edmund on national televison. Outside, Holly runs into Buzz on her way to see Richard's news. Buzz thinks she really came there to see him. Meanwhile after the news media leave, Edmund tells Richard that he will never forgive him for that.

Friday, February 9

Michelle scares Marah and causes her to drop her tray of snacks. Michelle tells her that she will calm down after time and tells her that she understands. Marah tells Michelle that she really likes Tony and asks if falling for a Santos is doomed to failure. Michelle says that she wouldn't do anything differently because Danny is worth it. She says that she knows that she and Danny are supposed to be together. Marah is surprised because she and Danny are from such different places and Michelle says that she knows it won't always be this hard being a Santos. Marah tells her that she is not wasting her time wanting something that she can't have. Marah points out that people see Tony as a thug that is going to ruin her life but she explains that is backwards. She says that she wants to be the person that Tony sees when he looks at her and Michelle can tell that she really loves Tony. Marah tells Michelle how her parents have banned her from seeing Tony and Michelle invites her to ride to Infierno to see "Catalina." Marah refuses because she doesn't want to get into trouble and Michelle leaves. Marah yells for her to wait and she says that she wants to go see Tony. Marah and Michelle arrive at Infierno and Michelle leaves them alone. He tells her that coming her was a bad idea and he says that he can't see her there. She says that they need a place more private and suggests the lighthouse. Tony asks her how she could go there and he asks if she is sure. She says yes and he agrees. Meanwhile, Maria asks Danny how he could turn his back on the old ways and he asks her what she is really going to miss. She tells him that he is in more danger now because he is not following the tradition and he assures her that he will keep the security around them. She asks him if he thinks he can have the Santos family and his other family with Michelle too and he says that he is not a fool and knows he can't have both. Michelle arrives and Maria tells her hello. Maria's ride arrives and Maria invites Michelle over sometime. She leaves and Michelle asks Danny if he wants to see the newest information about the baby. He wants her to leave and she shows him the sonograms. Michelle puts a sticker of a star on the picture to keep him from finding out the sex and he admits that he can't wait to meet the baby. She asks him to come home to them soon and she leaves.

Buzz tells Holly that he can't believe the way that Susan was defending Edmund and he says he can see that she will be a woman that will be drawn to the darkside. Holly tells Buzz that he himself is one of the most complicated men in this town and she walks off. At the mansion, Phillip comes in and asks Lillian and Beth if they are ready for a celebration. Beth is offended that Phillip is pleased by what Richard said about Edmund. Phillip can't believe that Beth is making this Richard's fault and she says that she will not abandon Edmund. Phillip tries to get Lillian to agree with him but Lillian doesn't want to get in the middle of it. Beth continues to back Edmund and Phillip walks out after he says that Beth is possessed. Meanwhile, Richard explains to Edmund about the baby buried under the table rock and Edmund tells Richard that he has no right to sabotage him. Richard tells him that he should have put him in jail and thrown away the key years ago but he didn't because he felt sorry for him. Richard calls him a traitor to him and the country. Richard tells him that he found Rourke and what he found out. Edmund tries to talk his way out of being the one behind Rourke and Richard begs him for one honest conversation. Edmund tells him that he doesn't have any proof of this and he asks Richard why he didn't come to him first. Edmund tells him that Rourke is trying to come between them to ruin the family but Richard does not believe him. Richard tells him that he has had a lifetime to figure out that Edmund does not need to have the throne. Richard reminds him that he lost a son and a wife because of him. Edmund tells him that when he decided to change he had to forgive himself of those crimes and he says that he has changed over the past year. Edmund asks him if it is a different view looking in from the outside now just as he has done all of his life. Edmund asks him what he would have done if he had spent a week in his shoes and Richard leaves to go meet with the counsel. Edmund's phone rings and Beth asks him if he is alright. She asks how Richard could have done that to him and asks if Richard has apologized to him yet. Beth says that she will be on the next flight down there but Edmund tells her that this is not the time. She insists that she come down there to be on his side. Edmund says that he would love to see her but that this is not the right time. Edmund is very distant towards her and tells her that he has to be going. He hangs up and the phone rings again. This time it is Susan and she tells him that she can't believe that Richard did that to him. Edmund apologizes that Richard upset her and she tells him to just get out of there and let them have their election. She tells him if he really wants to be prince then he should stay there and fight it and he thanks her for her advice. Susan says that there are alot of people who know who Edmund really is and she tells him that she loves him. He begins to cry and hangs up. He decides that know one can know the truth and he says that Richard did this to him. Richard talks to Cassie on the phone and Dax interrupts them. Richard asks if there is a mob in the street demanding that Edmund take the throne and Dax says no. Richard hopes that he is doing the right thing and he wishes he could make himself believe that he didn't do the things he did to the country. Ms. Weymouth arrives to see Richard and she thanks him for seeing him. She tells him that he was far too generous with Edmund tonight and she calls Edmund a disgusting excuse for a human being. She confirms that Edmund is responsible for her husband's death. Later, Phillip returns and Beth tells him that Edmund sends his best. He asks her why she is telling him that she called him and she tells him that it is not how he thinks it is. He tells her that he hopes she is sticking around there because sooner or later she will see Edmund for who he really is.

Claire and Alan talk about Harley and Phillip's divorce and Beth's infatuation with Edmund. She tells him about her plans to torture Meta over the lighthouse project. She thanks him for the opportunity and asks if he's expecting a payback. Olivia interrupts them and thanks Alan for the use of his jet for her honeymoon. She tells him they didn't get to go because of Marah's kidnapping. Claire thinks this is just another good reason for Michelle to stay away from Danny. Olivia informs her that Michelle was the original target. Claire gets upset and Olivia realizes she didn't know. She suggests Michelle didn't want to upset her but Claire doesn't buy it. She starts to leave when Alan brings up the lighthouse project. Olivia says that the lighthouse is special to her and would be happy to volunteer her help. Claire isn't interested but Alan persuades her. He thinks that Olivia's specialty is construction and wants her to survey the lighthouse for them. Olivia tells him that Lewis Construction will guarantee a low bid and good work. They strike a deal but Claire isn't happy about it. After Olivia leaves Alan says he loves the way she thinks. Claire thinks he's very transparent and is provoking her with Olivia. Alan says that he simply admires Olivia and asks if Claire feels threatened. He tells her that things between them could be more solidified if she would make the first move but she says that wouldn't be very ladylike. He remembers her saying she wasn't a lady and he doesn't want to behave like a gentleman. Alan thinks she becomes more stimulated when other women are around. She tells him she won't compete for his affections and they kiss.

When Josh arrives at their house Marah tells him that Reva isn't there. He tells her he is there to see her because he doesn't like the way things ended between them. He wants them to be able to talk it out when they have a difference of opinion. Marah knows that Josh hates Tony but he insists that this is about what's best for her. He thinks if she continues to see him, there will be trouble. Marah tells him that she's going to give Tony up. Josh is shocked and she explains that she isn't in love with Tony, she just has a crush. She says her therapist helped her realize that she was acting crazy. Josh is happy about her decision and wishes Reva could hear it. Marah tells him that being defined by your relationship is so 80s. Josh hugs her and is relieved she won't be seeing Tony anymore. There is a knock at the door and Josh answers it. Perdita reveals herself as Noah's ex--wife and Josh says he didn't know Noah was married. She claims that Noah is simply afraid of the place she holds in his heart. Josh introduces himself as Reva's ex-husband and Perdita thinks they have a lot in common already. Josh tries to get rid of her by saying Reva isn't there but Perdita comes in anyway. She explains that she's an art dealer and is appearing on Reva's show. Reva arrives and is surprised to find such a full house. Perdita says that they can always make room for her. Reva takes her aside and asks what she's doing there. Perdita wants to talk about the show and starts making rules about camera angles and what questions she won't answer. Noah arrives with good news and is surprised to find Perdita there. Perdita observes that all the exes are in one room and Reva thinks that's modern of them. Perdita thinks they're one big happy family and Josh says not anymore. Noah says that sometimes marriages are a mistake and Perdita says that sometimes you belong together. Before she leaves she tells Noah and Reva that things have settled well for their family down south. Noah explains to Reva that the election in Central America is over and the trouble is gone. Reva is happy and wants to tell Josh and Marah. She explains how she met Catalina with the illegal immigrants and found out that Noah was a retired special agent. Marah feels bad for thinking her mother was ignoring her when she was really saving people. Reva says the danger is over now and Josh tells her she did a good thing. He gets ready to leave and Marah follows him to the door. He says he's proud of her for giving up Tony and leaves. Tony arrives and kisses Marah. She tells him that Josh bought her story about dumping him. Tony doesn't like her having to like to her father. He gives her the caretaker's schedule and keys to the lighthouse. They agree to meet there tomorrow night but Marah doesn't want to wait. Reva calls for her and Tony leaves quickly after promising to see each other tomorrow.

Mrs. Weymouth tells Richard and Dax that Edmund blackmailed her husband with photographs of his affair with a 17 year old girl. He forced her husband to tell Richard that he was sterile and Cassie wasn't pregnant when she was. She says he confessed to her and she has the photos now. Richard remembers seeing her upset and she says that her husband was about to confess to him too but died before he could. She apologizes for not coming forth sooner because she didn't want to upset her daughter but she can't let Edmund take power. She gives Richard the photographs and asks him to be discreet. Richard says that there is no use for the photos to be made public. Mrs. Weymouth says she will do whatever it takes to make sure her husband didn't die in vain. She offers to testify to the royal council to make sure Edmund doesn't take the throne. Dax thinks he has a way to prove that Edmund had the photos. Dax says they will test for Edmund's fingerprints on the photographs. Richard asks if he can keep them in his safe and she agrees. She asks him to burn them when he is finished. Richard asks Dax to make sure Edmund doesn't leave the grounds. He wants to know the minute Dax receives the results. Meanwhile, Edmund finds the angel carved in the rock in the garden. He wonders what life would have been like if William had lived. He remembers their mother taking them there to play and how his father favored Richard so much. He says that Richard had no right to go to the people or make any changes in government. He says that his is the prince and all rights are his. Dax informs Richard that Edmund's fingerprints are on the photos. Richard gets angry and says that Edmund caused him to doubt himself. He says that Edmund lied to his face and all their suspicions were true. Dax tries to stop him but Richard says that Edmund is a cancer on the house of Winslow and he must be stopped. He finds Edmund and tells him the game is over. He asks if he enjoyed seeing Dr. Weymouth suffer. He says that Mrs. Weymouth told him the whole story but Edmund thinks Richard is always willing to believe the worst of him. Richard says his fingerprints are all over the photos but Edmund still denies it. He tells Richard he is self delusional and a fool. He turns to leave but Richard sticks a sword next to his head in the door. He throws another sword to Edmund and Edmund says if he does this, he really is a fool. Edmund reminds Richard that he is quicker and stronger than him in fencing. The duel begins and Edmund says that he has a pregnant wife he is responsible for. Richard knocks him to the floor and points his sword at Edmund's throat.

Sam tells Olivia about Richard's speech and she is shocked. He wishes he were in San Cristobel to watch this unfold and she feels bad for Richard. She tells him that Josh has gone over to Reva's to figure out how to keep Marah away from Tony but Sam just reminds her about forbidden fruit. He tells her that the more they try to keep her from Tony then the more she will want him. Olivia tells Sam that he has the inside track with Marah and Sam says that it sounds like she is promoting he and Marah. She says that she knows that he is lonely and tells him to go for it. Olivia thinks this could cause she and Marah to bond and she can tell that he really likes Marah. She reminds him that tomorrow is Valentine's day but he tells her that he hates Valentine's day. She tells him that most women love Valentine's day and tells him that he can come up with something to get the message across to Marah that he cares. He reluctantly agrees and gets ready to leave.

Reva wants to brainstorm with Noah about how to get rid of Perdita. She says that she isn't jealous and he compares the number of exes that he has to the number that she has. She jokes about HB and tells Noah that they would have liked each other. Noah says that there is one way to get rid of Perdita and explains that she will head to the south of France if she has money to burn. Reva tells him that she can't wait to sick Alan Spaulding on Perdita. Reva tells Noah about all the demands that Perdita made in order to be on her show and says that Perdita refused to discuss her art and where she has been for the last 10 years. They realize that there are laws to prevent the sale of art out of its country of origin and they decide how they can use Alan to their advantage. She tells them that there are lots of ways that they can entertain themselves once Perdita is out of their lives but says that they need to concentrate on the trouble at hand. He reminds her that he has to work tonight and invites her to breakfast at his place tomorrow. She opens the door just as Josh arrives. Reva tells Noah goodbye and he leaves. Outside on the porch, Noah calls Perdita and tells her that it is time they figured out where they go from there. He invites her to breakfast at his place tomorrow and he leaves. Inside, Josh tells Reva that what she did for the immigrants was remarkable and he is thankful that she worked so hard to fulfill Diego's last request. He tells her that he is grateful and he says that he needs for her to understand that. Reva apologizes for her disappearance and Josh hopes that life can get back to normal. He asks her if she is happy and she beats around the bush. She asks him if he is happy and he says yes. She asks how he can tell and he says that he looks forward to the day because he knows what will happen. They talk about their ups-and-downs over the years and Reva tells him that she needs to figure out what she did to mess up the best thing that happen to her so that she can change that if she ever gets another chance. She clarifies that she didn't mean another chance with him and she says that she knows he is on his own journey of discovery. He says it seems weird that he isn't on that journey with her and he tells her that he hopes she finds what she is looking for because he will never be happy himself until he knows she is happy. Reva thanks him for coming over and telling her all that stuff and she wishes him a happy Valentine's day.

Susan asks to speak to Beth but Alan tells her he's busy now but will give Beth the message. Susan asks Harley if Beth can call her back on her cell phone and Harley agrees. They hang up and Alan is glad that Susan prefers Beth to Harley. Susan tells Harley she's worried about Edmund. She says he sounded sad on the phone and doesn't have anybody to support him there. She doesn't like what Richard did to him and thinks Edmund only has her, Beth and Lizzie. Harley thinks that should tell her something. Susan waits on Beth's phone call and realizes she's ignoring Harley. Harley tells her she understands her need to be close to Beth because of Jim. She tells her that when she was young, she kept a bottle of her father's cologne. Susan thinks she's lucky that Buzz came back. Harley says that the man she dreamed about is so different from Buzz but she loves him more and more everyday. She admits she still hasn't thrown that bottle of cologne away. Susan tells her that she has one of her father's hairbrushes. Susan asks about her divorce but Harley doesn't expect any problems. Beth calls and asks Susan if she saw Richard's announcement. Susan is worried but Beth reassures her that Edmund is strong and can handle this. Beth and Susan exchange I love yous and hang up. Susan tells Harley that sometimes it's easier being close to someone who isn't your mother. Harley says she wouldn't since her mom left when she was young. Susan thinks that sometimes Harley tries too hard to make up for giving her up. She tells her that she does respect her for trying to make Susan a better person. They talk about how you have to be tough on your kids. Susan knows Harley loves her. She hopes that she will be brave enough to be tough on her own kids. Harley takes that as a compliment and tells Susan she is a nice person.

Richard holds his sword to Edmund's throat and Edmund tells him he has quite the dilemma. He asks if he can skewer the rightful heir to the throne and Richard says damn you to hell. Edmund recovers and the duel resumes. They take off their jackets and Richard thinks this is all a game to Edmund. He tells him he won't have mercy on him again. Edmund falls to the floor and tells Richard his problem is solved. Richard falls to his knees and screams why. Dax arrives and tells the guards to call an ambulance. Edmund tells him that it was an accident and he lost his footing. Dax goes to get help and Edmund tells Richard that was a parting gift. He wonders if he can accept it. Edmund thinks a conscience is a terrible thing to have. Richard is stunned and Edmund can barely breathe. Edmund tells him he will live a lie in front of his wife and the rest of the world. He thinks if Richard does that, he'll slowly turn into Edmund. The paramedics arrive and Edmund tells him that fell on his sword. He says that you might say he has embarrassed himself to death.

She doesn't want Phillip to give her a hard time but he thinks she should wait an hour or two until Richard calls back. She says he may not have an hour or two. Phillip wants her to atleast wait until Lizzie comes home and Harley notes to Ross that it's really about the kids. At Infierno, Olivia and Josh enjoy dinner. She brings up Alan but Josh isn't interested. She makes him go along with her and she reminds him that he agreed to do this for Alan. He agrees and they leave. They arrive outside the lighthouse and Josh can see that the building really needs repair. Josh thinks about Marah being held there and is glad that Marah has come to her senses about Tony. Olivia notices that the door is unlocked and is glad that they can go check out the inside now. Meanwhile, Tony and Marah arrive at the lighthouse and Tony wants to chase away all of the bad feelings for Marah. He says that it is their place now and he changes the subject to hockey. Marah is confused and asks him if something is wrong. He says that he is just trying to make conversation and admits that he is trying to slow down. He tells her that she is making it really hard to do and she asks if he is still upset with her about New Year's Eve. He tells her that she has apologized enough for that and he says that he doesn't want her if she is just grateful. She tells him that he has changed her and that she needed it. He fixes the picnic for her but she doesn't like much of the food. She tells him that it is nice being there with him and wishes her parents would ease up on them. She asks who took care of him when he was growing up and he says he took care of himself. He says that he lived with Aunts and Uncles and Marah wishes her parents could see that that she is old enough to know what she wants. He says that he wanted to make his way up in the family but since he met her he wants more. Josh gets a call about another project and has to leave. Olivia stays behind to take pictures of the lighthouse. Meanwhile, Tony tells Marah he wanted to get her something since she gave him a home made Valentine.
