Jim wants to know where Susan is and Frank tells him she's missing. Beth tries to calm Jim down but he thinks it's Phillip's fault. He wants to know what Phillip said to upset her. Phillip tells him that he thinks he was very tolerant and patient with Susan. Harley doesn't think they should be arguing right now and wants to focus on finding Susan. Jim is still upset at Phillip so he tells him that it's really Jim's fault that Susan ran away because she was afraid of facing him after the party. They explain to Jim that Susan and Max threw a party at their house and it got out of hand. Jim tells Max that he doesn't want him anywhere near Susan ever again. Harley defends Max by saying that he defended her against one of the guys there. Jim thinks that she wouldn't have needed defending if she hadn't been with Max to begin with. Lillian tells them all that they need to focus on finding Susan and showing her how much they love her. Jim reads the note that Susan left and sees that she really was afraid to face him. Frank suggests they start looking for her and Phillip agrees to check their house. Frank and Harley leave and Jim wonders what he did to make Susan feel that way. Beth reassures him that he's a good father and is always there when Susan needs him. Jim says except for now and Beth tells him even now. He reads Susan's words about not being able to live this way and Beth tells him she wouldn't hurt herself. Jim agrees not to beat himself up over this but says he has to do something. Beth agrees to stay there in case she calls and Jim says that's a good idea because he's probably the last person Susan wants to hear from. Meanwhile, Harley asks Frank why he wanted them all to split up. She doesn't buy his reasons and thinks he wanted to get away from Phillip. Frank asks her where the old Harley is because she wouldn't have taken Phillip back. Harley admits that she's no good at this parenting thing. Frank tells her a story about her wanting to learn to ride a bike but skip the training wheels. He says that there are some steps you just can't skip. She tells him that a good parent would be crying and worrying about their child and instead she's so angry she could kill Susan. Frank tells her that he wanted to kill her a few times when she was a kid but that doesn't make him a bad person. They agree to keep looking together and Frank says he wants to be there for the hugs.

Holly goes to a fishing shop and asks how to catch a bass. She explains that she is trying to show up Billy Lewis and the owner knows him. He agrees to help Holly and gives her lots of equipment. He explains to her how to set the hook and uses a lot of technical jargon. He gives her a special hook made with skunk hair that he won’t sell to Billy and Billy arrives. Holly acts like she knows all the jargon and Billy asks her to have some barbecue with him. Billy and the shop owner argue with one another about a fish that Billy caught last year and they sit down to lunch. Billy asks Holly if she has any fishing tips and he suggests that they drive up early. He jokes that she would have to be able to handle the temptation of being alone with him in the woods overnight. She agrees and they agree to meet over at Company so that he can get some of Buzz’s chili. Billy leaves and Holly thanks the shop owner for all his help. Buzz gives Billy his chili and Holly arrives. Buzz laughs at Holly and Billy and Holly asks him to pray for her.

Richard tells him that he passed the test by breaking the hold and putting himself in front of Cassie. Richard has him target shoot across the room and asks him a lot of questions. Richard shows him out and Cassie says that he was perfect. Edmund is pleased and so is Cassie. Edmund tells them that he found in Rourke’s background that he is a ladies man and Cassie decides to be Rourke’s matchmaker. Edmund goes to tell Rourke that he got the job and leaves Richard and Cassie alone. Cassie and Richard get romantic on the floor. Edmund meets Rourke and tells him that he got the job. Rourke comments on how beautiful Cassie is and how pleasurable this assignment will be.

Holly and Billy arrive at the lake and Billy guarantees to her that this is the best bass fishing site in 100 miles. They talk about how quiet it is and they start hearing noises. Billy calls a passing bass by the name Rufus and explains that he and Josh can never catch him. After they are both in bed, Holly sneaks up to test-out her fishing rod and Billy sees her. She gets all tangled up in the line as he watches. A skunk sprays Billy and he jumps into the lake in front of Holly. Holly goes to see it and she gets sprayed too. She jumps in the lake and he tells her that the only thing that will get rid of it is tomato juice. They pour big cans of tomato juice all over themselves and Holly admits that she made it all up about being about to fish. She says that she didn't want him to have to take care of her and he reminds her that his last two wives weren't delicate flowers. They agree to get in the car and go have showers in nice warm hotel rooms.

Josh and Olivia toast to her first night in her new apartment and Olivia toasts to his separation from Reva. Josh is worried about the demolition crew and is upset that Phillip doesn't have to handle it. Olivia apologizes for Josh's lawyer and Josh says that it is not her fault. He tells her that it was the worst when Vince started calling Reva names. He explains to Olivia that Reva's first sexual experiences with men were not voluntary and she was only twelve. Olivia breaks down and tells him that he doesn't have to say anything else. In bed, Josh hears Olivia crying and asks what is wrong. Olivia says that she is thinking about how huge Reva is in his life and how everything that she does is so dramatic. He tells her that she can' t keep reacting to Reva and that they have something good happening between them. After they are asleep the phone rings and Olivia answers it. It is the principal of a school explaining to Olivia that "he" is riding all over the campus on his motor cycle. Olivia offers to pay for all the damage but the principal tells her that he has sent Sam on his way to her. Josh asks Olivia whom she was talking about and she says Sam. She explains that Sam is her troublemaker little brother. She explains that he has been sent there from boarding school and that it is a good thing that she got this new place. Josh offers his help with Sam and tells her that if everyone else has to deal with a teenager then so should she.

Marah tries to sneak in quietly and finds Reva sitting on the couch. Reva tells her to sit down and that she wasn't waiting up for her. Reva explains that she was waiting to hear from Susan and that she feels lucky that Marah took after her father. She says she is sad that they seem to be growing apart and Marah tells her that she is not like other moms. Marah reminds her that men fall at her feet, women hate her, and she is on TV and that she was once a princess and says that she sometimes wishes that she were more conventional. They head to the kitchen to make chocolate chip cookies.

Beth tells Lillian she doesn't know how she'd live with herself if something happens to Susan. Lillian tells her it's not her fault but she knows Susan ran away because of what happened with her and Phillip. Beth says that she's upset because Jim took Beth back and she doesn't know what to expect next. Beth thinks that she's made one mistake after another since Jim found out about the baby. She's afraid that this is all one big mistake. Lillian reassures her that she's a good mother and some day Susan will be happy that she and Jim are married. Lillian asks if Harley is searching too but Beth tells her she's coordinating everything with Phillip. Beth is glad that they are back together but Lillian isn't sure. Beth admits that she and Edmund had a hand in getting them back together. Lillian is stunned but Beth tells her that Phillip and Harley wanted to be back together. Lillian asks if that's what Beth wanted. Beth tells her that she loves Jim and wants a life with him. Lillian asks her which one of them she's trying to convince.

Harley is upset because the police chief won't offically look for Susan. Frank says they need 24 more hours before the police can do anything. Harley wants to go look herself but Frank doesn't think that's a good idea. He gets a phone call and tells her to stay put. He says that they have 15 volunteers from the force that are willing to look for Susan on their own time. Harley thinks that's a good start and they form a plan of where to look. She starts calling people and Buzz asks if she should be doing this. Phillip and Frank agree that she needs to stay busy and off the streets. Phillip asks what happens if Susan isn't in the area they're going to focus on and Frank tells him they'll span out. Frank doesn't think she could have gotten far on her bike but Phillip reminds them how strong and quick Susan is. Harley overhears him say he thinks she could be farther away than they all think. Buzz tells him that was smooth and Phillip sees Rick come in and hug Harley. Buzz watches them all and comments that he'd run away too. Harley asks Rick for his opinion on Susan's letter because she can't be objective anymore. Rick doesn't think Susan would hurt herself. He says that she's scared and struggling right now but she wouldn't do that. Rick makes Harley laugh and reassures her that Susan can handle Jim and Phillip and wouldn't hurt herself over that. Buzz thinks he should be out there looking for Susan but Frank says he needs him there in case there's bad news. Phillip asks Rick what happened with the hospital board and Rick tells him about his meeting with Charles. He tells them that they aren't going to pursue Claire's involvement. He tells them about Meta being back. Rick says he's sorry that all this is happening while him and Harley are trying to work things out. Phillip tells him that working things out includes Susan and hopefully next time he'll be better at that part. Harley gets a phone call from Frank with a location for Susan. Phillip promises to do better with Susan this time. Buzz and Phillip exchange words but Harley tells them both that Susan is going to have to get used to Phillip. She doesn't want to do this every time something goes wrong. Phillip tells her he'll do whatever she wants him to. Harley doesn't know what she'll do when she sees Susan, hug her or strangle her. Jim and Frank arrive at Company and Harley is surprised that Susan isn't with them. Jim gives her a shoe they found and asks her if it's Susan's. Harley looks at it and says that it is her shoe. She asks where they found it and they tell her it washed up out of the lake. Frank tells her that he needs her to be a cop right now but she's obviously upset. Harley pulls herself together and makes a statement that she can identify this shoe. Frank says that now she is officially missing and they can call in the police to find her.

She goes in and Ray introduces Tony to Michelle. She apologizes for what Danny did to him. Ray can't believe Danny did that to him and Tony tells him he thought Tony was out of line. Michelle thinks Danny could have killed him and Tony decides to give them some time alone. Ray asks her what she saw and she admits she saw Danny beating Tony and she didn't even recognize him. She thinks maybe that was his real face and everything up until then was just a mask. Ray says everyone has darkness inside them but she doesn't think he does. Ray tells her that he's far from perfect but he has made a vow to take responisibility for his actions and do better. He thinks that Danny can do the same. She says that she can't live her life waiting to get a phone call that her husband or children have been shot. She says that she's tried everything to get Danny out of the business but he's in it more now than he ever was. She believes that was his choice but Ray thinks Danny needs her to stay out of the business. She doesn't know what else she can do and thinks it would take a miracle now. Ray reminds her of the vows she made to Danny when she married him. Michelle thinks that she shouldn't have made a promise that she couldn't keep. She wants Ray to help her erase that mistake and tells him she wants an annulment. Meanwhile Tony goes to Millennium and tells Danny he doesn't want anymore hassels with him. He lets Danny know that Ray knows what happened but says he didn't tell him. Danny realizes that Michelle must have told him and leaves for the hospital. Ray doesn't think she'd be granted an annulment but she thinks she could if he'd help her. Ray says he doesn't believe she can show just cause. She realizes that it's til death do they part and he says that's the vow she took. She says she doesn't care because they're through. Danny arrives but Rick won't let him in. He tells him that Michelle is in there and doesn't want to see him. Danny gets angry and tells him he has no right to keep him away from his wife and cousin. Rick says that Ray is his patient and what he says goes. They start yelling and Michelle comes out just as Rick is about to call security. Danny tells Michelle he didn't come to see her and tells her to leave. He says he has to fix whatever she told Ray and she says she only told him the truth. Danny says she doesn't know what the truth is because she wouldn't let him explain. They start arguing and Michelle thinks she should be with someone else. Danny agrees and Ray comes out and tells them both to stop it and get in his room. Danny says he didn't come to cause trouble. He admits that things got out of hand with Tony and Ray forgives him. Ray says that in a way Tony cost him his marriage. Ray tries to get them to open their eyes and remember their vows. He thinks they both need to grow up and realize everyone has flaws. He says that people can change and grow and he's proof of that. He tells them how angry he was with Tony but when the van pulled up he jumped in front of him. He tells them that if they walk away from each other, they shouldn't expect to find their soulmates in other people. He tells them not to come to him again with this nonsense and Danny says that he never asked for any of this. Michelle says she didn't either and he tells her not to worry because she'll never have to see him again and leaves. Michelle breaks down and Ray tries to comfort her.

She tells him that she's coming over and asks him to make sure she doesn't kill Susan. Harley goes over there and is both happy and angry at Susan. She wants to know how she could do this to all the people that care about her. They argue over Phillip and Harley thinks that Susan really hasn't forgiven her for taking Phillip back. Susan says she wants to see Max but Jim says no. Harley thinks it's a good idea because Susan is going to face everyone who helped search for her. At the hospital, Vanessa and Bill talk about Josh's condition. Vanessa tells Bill that Dinah is pregnant and he wonders how that could happen at a convent. Vanessa says she doesn't have time to explain because Dinah is on the run. Bill thinks Dinah does these things because she knows Vanessa will bail her out. Bill thinks Matt should be doing this but she tells him that she wants Matt to find some place safe for them in Europe. Bill realizes she isn't coming back but Vanessa tells him they'll see each other again. Vanessa wants Bill to concentrate on the business but he doesn't think he can handle it. Vanessa says that Billy will help him. She shows him some Spaulding stock and tells him he has to sell the TV station so they'll have money to live on. She asks him to wire the money to a Swiss bank account and says that Ross can help with that. She tells him to wait a day or two so Ross's position won't be compromised. She asks Bill to tell Ross that she is going to take care of their little girl. He can't know anymore because he'd have to tell the authorities. Vanessa and Bill hug and she tells him a story of how he hit a homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning in little league. She assures him he's made of strong stuff and will be fine. She tells him she loves him and is more proud of him than he'll ever know. They hug again as Billy arrives. He thinks something's happened to Josh but they assure him he's fine. Bill shares one last goodbye and leaves them alone. Vanessa tells him she was saying goodbye to Bill and that Dinah's in trouble. She tells him her plan and hopes to convince Matt to stay with them in Europe. Billy tells her that if he comes back, Billy will fire him. He tells her the only regrets he has in his life are what he did to lose her. Vanessa doesn't want him to think about the past. She says that he's a better man now than he ever has been. They share a goodbye hug and Vanessa leaves.

Olivia runs into Alan at the hospital and he asks how Josh is doing. She tears into him for putting Josh into danger and he tells her that it was not an accident. He explains that it was a bomb and she continues to blame him for Josh's injuries. She tells him that Lewis is ready to pull out of this job and go straight to the press. Alan explains that Phillip called OSHA before the explosion even happened to try to make it right. He offers Lewis the rest of the demolition at the original bid but Olivia tells him that they need at least 25% more. He bargains her down to 20% over and he agrees. He tells her that someone set the bomb knowing that Josh was in there and she leaves to go talk to Josh. Alan runs into Claire in the hall and apologizes for missing their dinner last night. He explains that he was busy with the building site and asks to reschedule. She tells him to be at the club waiting for her at 7:30 with a chilled cosmopolitan and a pack of unfiltered cigarettes and she walks off. Olivia goes in and tells Josh about the new contract with the increase. Josh is pleased and she tells him about the accident being an intentional bomb. Josh is confused and she tells him that the bomb was set to go off while he was there. He remembers asking too many questions.

Max brings her something to eat but she tells him it'll have to wait because she's busy with the fax machine now. He asks her why she didn't tell him what she was planning and she says they would have sent him back to New York if they were caught. Max doesn't think they would have been caught if he was with her. She tells him that when she ran out of supplies, she came home. She tells him about meeting Sam and how he took her home on his motorcycle. Max doesn't like the fact that she spent the night with a strange guy and says he could have been like Freddie. Susan starts to defend herself when the fax machine goes off again. Susan gets upset and starts yelling. Harley has had enough and tells her that she has no idea how terrifying it was for them to not know where she was. Susan shoots back that she does know because Harley dumped her and she didn't know where her real mother was for most of her life. Frank holds Harley back and she tells Susan that did what she thought was best for her. She explains that she was in high school and was barely scraping by. Susan says that she was tough having a baby in the back seat of a car and then going on about her business. He says that he'll have to call INS tomorrow but Reva thinks that tomorrow might be too late. At the factory, Jake arrives and the guard tells him about Reva's visit. Jake tells him to lock up because they are moving the people out right now.

He explains that it is better to show restraint and use intelligence to get back at your enemy. He recommends she read The Prince and she is interested. She goes upstairs to check it out on the Internet and Beth thanks him for making her smile. He reminds her that he said that there was no woman alive that he couldn’t charm if he chose to. She asks him to help her out on this and he tells her that he is in.

She comes in and Olivia tells her that Josh is doing much better this morning. Marah offers to move in with Josh and take care of him when he comes home but he tells her that he will manage. He tells her that her school is too important for that and Olivia tells her that Josh will have a part-time nurse. Josh mentions that Reva didn't have the time to come and visit him and Marah tells him that Reva came by yesterday morning and stayed for more than an hour. Josh is confused and explains that he doesn't remember anything because he has been in and out of it. Olivia maintains that she didn't know anything about Reva being there and Josh insists that Marah go on to class. Marah leaves and calls Millennium looking for Tony on her way out. Olivia apologizes to Josh for misleading him but he assumes that she didn't do it on purpose and tells her that he is sorry for going on about Reva.

They argue over her leaving and Tony says that this is Danny's place and his rules. Marah tells him that first he flirts with her and now he wants to to go away. She thinks that he is afraid of anything resembling a real challenge. She tells him that he's all talk and no action and he kisses her. She gets flustered and walks out with a smile on her face. Danny finds Marah watching Tony through the window and she turns around and runs into him. He notices that she's practically giddy and goes inside and asks Tony how Marah is. Tony acts like he doesn't know who he's talking about but Danny tells him he can't play innocent very well. He reminds Tony that he told him to stay away from Marah and gives him a one way plane ticket back to Chicago.

Rick reminds Michelle that she promised to get a check up if she wasn't feeling better this morning. Michelle says that she only told them that to get them off her back but Rick is going to hold her to it. Michelle tries to tell him that it's just an upset stomach but he doesn't think that would make her faint. She tries to pass it off as stress and not eating enough and tells him she isn't going to the hospital. Claire comes in and says the hospital will come to her. She looks at Michelle's eyes and throat and realizes that the symptoms are simply lightheadedness and nausea. She asks for her arm and Michelle can't believe she's going to draw blood. Claire says that this is the only way they'll know what's going on with her. She says that she'll drop the blood off at the hospital later when she goes to check on a patient but Rick is leaving now and offers to take it for her. Claire tells him to leave no stone unturned and Rick tells Michelle to rest and leaves. Claire seconds that opinion and says she'll be in touch but Michelle asks her to stay and catch up. Claire jokes that she's feeling lightheaded now and Michelle says she better sit down. Claire notices Michelle's pre-med text book and says she had the same one. She offers to help her study but then rethinks it. Michelle tells her she'd like that. Michelle says that when they do talk, it's always about her problems so she wants to know how everything is going with Claire. They talk about the hospital and Michelle asks if that's where she met Alan. Claire realizes Michelle is really curious if anything is going on between them and she says not yet. Michelle reminds her that Alan doesn't have a good reputation but Claire tells her she doesn't either. Michelle wants her to be careful and Claire says she always is and takes good care of herself. She thinks it's sweet of Michelle to care though and leaves. At the hospital, she runs into Alan who is there trying to avoid a lawsuit from Josh. He tells her somebody sabotaged the contruction site and was probably trying to hurt Josh. He asks about Michelle and she tells him she's still under the weather. She apologizes for cutting their evening short and tells him they did raise a few eyebrows. She says that Michelle was asking all kinds of questions and was probably hoping they were only flirting and nothing serious. Alan asks if she was right and Claire tells him that she takes all her flirtations seriously. She says she never does anything halfway and he agrees. They talk about what the ingredients of a relationship are. He suggests they have dinner at his house tonight so they can get into some serious flirtation. Later, Claire finds Michelle at home looking up her symptoms. She tells Claire all the things it could be but Claire says that her bloodwork came back from the lab. Claire says Michelle is pregnant.

Wednesday, September 20

Harley comes to see Susan but Susan is more interested in reading her book. She tries to talk to Susan but Susan is very cold to her. Susan want to forget about what she said at Company but Harley says that they can't. Susan tells her that she thinks a lot about why she gave her away and that she knows that she did the best that she could. Harley says that she wants to tell her the truth and get these things out in the open. She admits that for weeks during her pregnancy she pretended that it wasn't happening. Harley explains that Dylan was a child too and that she couldn't have an abortion because of her religion. Susan asks if she even cared that she was gone and Harley tells her that once she understood what she had lost it felt like someone had torn out a piece of her heart. Harley asks if that is more than she needed to hear and Susan says that it is actually a relief. Harley tells her that she has her now and Susan asks when she started to feel bad that she gave her away. Harley tells her that it was always there but she really came to realize that when she was pregnant with Zack. Harley says that she is grateful that she is there but Susan says that she doesn't know if she can trust all this.

Michelle is shocked by Claire's statement that she is pregnant. Claire suggests that she tell Danny but Michelle tells her that it is too late. Claire tells her that she admires the way that she dealt with Danny and tells her not to get sentimental about the cells in her uterus and sever this tie with Danny too by ending the pregnancy. Michelle tells her that this child would be a Bauer but Claire suggests that Danny would use this as a way to stay tied to her. Michelle tells her that Danny would never use their child like that and that Carmen is the only person that would do that but she is dead. Claire begs Michelle to stop and think before she makes a decision and tells her that she may have to do something difficult. Claire asks her what now about med-school but Michelle says that she wants a baby. Rick arrives and Claire leaves to meet Alan. Rick tells her that it is great news and Michelle thinks he is being sarcastic. Rick explains that he is very happy for her and he can't wait to have a baby in this house. Michelle tells him how Claire felt about this and Rick tells her that it is her choice. She says that she wants the baby and Rick tells her that he and Meta will be there for her. He is very excited and fixes a snack for the three of them. Michelle tells him that he is a great big brother and she notices her wedding ring.

Vicky and Alan talk about a business deal and Alan is impressed with her. He says that she is the only one he can count on these days. Claire interrupts and Alan introduces her to Vicky but she doesn't pay her much attention. Claire says that the only thing that got her through this awful day was thinking about tonight.

At Millennium, Danny tells Tony to pack because he's taking him to the bus station. Tony tries to explain that Marah was flirting with him and he ignored her so she left. Danny isn't buying it and goes to the tape from the security camera. Tony admits that it looks like he kissed her but claims she really made the first move. Tony thinks that even though they're family, Danny still wouldn't believe him. Danny agrees to give Tony one more chance but says he's hanging on to the ticket back to Chicago. Reva arrives with Frank and Danny asks Tony if he wants to meet Marah's mother. Tony leaves suddenly and Reva and Frank go talk to Danny. He asks about Josh and they explain the situation with Diego and his wife. Reva thinks the Santos family might know who is behind the illegal aliens working on the construction site. Danny doesn't know anything about it but agrees to make some phone calls for them. He goes and calls Maria and asks who is providing Springfield with illegal aliens. He wants to know if they are in on it. Frank asks Reva if she's sure she wants to go through with this and she tells him that she promised Diego. A man watches them from the bar. Reva notices that Danny has been on the phone for a while and hopes he's not behind this because she likes him. Frank wants to think the same but is still suspicious of the Santos family. Meanwhile, Danny tells Maria to ask the other families about the illegal immigrant workers. He comes back and tells Reva that he couldn't find out anything. He tells them that he will put the word out though and will keep in touch with them. Reva and Frank leave and the man watching them makes a phone call to someone saying he'll take care of it. Meanwhile, Marah is surprised when Tony arrives at her house. He tells her that he told Danny that she kissed him and wants her to go along with it. Marah says that he lied and he knows it but says that Danny will send him to Chicago if she doesn't help him out. Marah wonders what Danny's problem is and agrees to go along with his story. She says it was just kiss, not a crime. Tony tells her that a crime would be breaking up this friendship before it really had a chance to get going. He asks if there's somewhere they can go that doesn't ask for IDs. She tells him about a roadhouse and says she'll meet him there later. He tells her he's a gentleman and will escort her there. He waits while she goes upstairs to get ready. In the car, Frank tells Reva that she can't do this just for a good story. She reminds him that Diego saved Josh's life and they owe him. She says she's doing this for Diego and his wife too. She thinks that she deserves to be at Diego's funeral and thinks they should collect on their dream of freedom. Reva asks him how he would feel to lose the person he loves most and he says he did. Reva apologizes for her remark and thinks they're the best people that could be working on this case. Frank notices that somebody is following them closely and asks her if she's wearing her seatbelt. Frank speeds up and the car swerves.

Thursday, September 21

Alan gives Claire one of his cigars and she says she tries to enjoy the finer things in life as a distraction. He wants to distract her from her problems and she asks him how he's going to do that. He tells her he has a mansion full of suprises. She asks him if it's true that the age of the boy matches the size of his toys and he says yes. He doesn't think he should be modest about his wealth because nobody would believe him. They kiss and Vicky interrupts them looking for a file. Alan asks her if it can wait and she says no. She reminds him of all the things she's done for him during and after the construction accident. While she's rambling, Alan gets the file and gives it to her. She leaves and Alan apologizes for her behavior. Claire says that she has him beat in family woes hands down. Alan isn't interested in woes and starts to kiss her again when Richard walks in. He apologizes for interrupting and Alan introduces him to Claire. She gives them time alone and she and Vicky listen to their conversation from the hall. Richard tells Alan that he is going to have to cancel all the contracts San Cristobel has with Spaulding. He says that he can't put the lives of his people at risk. Alan doesn't think that's necessary but Richard tells him that people are dying. Vicky quickly takes notes outside while Alan explains that the accidents weren't Spaulding's fault. Richard tells him that the accident in San Cristobel was due not only to sabatoge but poor working conditions. He doesn't think Alan's attitude about the bomb proves Spaulding isn't making any effort to change. Vicky comes in and tells Richard about Alan's plans for new safety procedures. She says that it's just a start but they are making progress. Richard doesn't have time to look at her memo right now and tells Alan he'll defer any decision he makes until the morning. Richard leaves and Alan thanks Vicky for her help. She tells him that her request for a promotion and a raise will be on his desk in the morning. Claire comes back and Vicky tells her that Alan is all hers. Alan explains what happened and says he has to come up with new safety procedures tonight. Claire says that she's never had her evening plans interrupted by royalty before. Alan says he'll have to make it up to her.

Phillip arrives at Company to meet Rick and asks what they're doing there so late. Rick gives him a cigar and Phillip asks if Abby's pregnant. Rick says no but Michelle is. Phillip asks if that's a good thing and Rick says that she'll make a good mother. He tells him about tucking Michelle in bed and having sympathy hunger cravings. Phillip thinks Rick is lonely too and he admits he wanted to share the news with Abby. He says he called her up to tell her but got her machine. He doesn't want to become a stalker and Phillip tells him a phone call to share good news doesn't make him one. Rick says he calls her when he knows she isn't home just to hear her voice. He tells him that she sounds like a different person. Phillip tells him that it will get easier but Rick isn't any good at being the miserable guy. Rick didn't mean it that way and Phillip tells him he doesn't really feel like he cheated on Harley. He knows he committed adultery but what happened in the plane was a moment of craziness. He says it had nothing to do with him and Harley. Phillip thinks the worst thing he did was deliberately not tell her for months. Phillip tells him that somewhere down the road he will have kids and be a wonderful father.

Marah tells her that marriage is supposed to be the long run and she leaves. Josh picks up the phone to call Reva and Olivia begs him not to. She tells him that Reva just wants to keep a connection to him but he insists that he wants to make sure that she doesn't get hurt. Olivia leaves and watches through the window as he calls Reva and asks her to come over. Marah runs into Sam in the hall and he explains that he is there on rollerblades because his sister is making him sell his bike. She tells him to be careful and he skates into Josh's room but she doesn't see him go in. Sam introduces himself and Josh asks him to not give Olivia any trauma until Josh gets well. Reva arrives and Josh introduces Sam to her. Reva makes a comment about how it is surprising that Sam is in there since Olivia wouldn't let Josh's own daughter come in a few days ago. Sam leaves and Josh tells Reva that wasn't necessary. They argue about the hostility between Reva and Olivia and agree to change the subject. Reva leaves him some flowers and Josh asks about what happened last night with Frank. He asks her to drop the story about the explosion because he is the only casualty and he says that he doesn't want her to get hurt. Josh accuses her of using this to stay close to him and she tells him that sounds like Olivia's thoughts. At Company, Blake asks Selena if she's feeling better since their last session. Selena says she is but sometimes it gets too much for her. Blake suggests she stop writing because the story isn't worth it if it's causing pain for Selena. Selena tells her she wants to continue because it's good for her to remember Mike. Blake is relieved because she thinks it's a great story and wants to ask more questions before everyone arrives. Selena tells her that sometimes she feels guilty because she may have told somebody some information accidentally that led to Mike's death. She says that Mike did leave "them" money but it didn't last. Blake asks who "they" were and Selena covers by saying it was her investment manager who took all her money. She tells her that after Mike died, she met men that weren't so good and eventually became a hooker, then Drew's was born and she knows the story from then on. Blake doesn't think she does but Harley interrupts them. They talk about whether or not Cassie will be different now and she arrives with photographers. They joke about her using this as a photo opportunity and about her having a bodyguard. Cassie says things are great in San Cristobel but Richard does run a country and sometimes she gets lonely. She wants to know everything that's going on with them starting with Blake's new book. Blake tells her it's a mob story with a triangle but she thinks it's turning into a murder mystery. Reva arrives and Selena takes Blake aside and tells her to stop whatever she's doing. She thinks everyone will know who Blake is talking about. Blake tells her they won't because she just gave them fiction, which is exactly what Selena has been giving her. Selena swears everything she's said is true but Blake calls her on it. She says that Selena told her that Mike died 11 years ago then she became a hooker and Drew was born. She says that it would make Drew about 10 years old now. Selena says she probably forgot something but Blake thinks Mike didn't leave his money to Selena and an investor, he left it to her and Drew. Selena tells her to keep Drew out of it and Blake says she doesn't want to hurt either one of them. She says she can't protect them if she stumbles over the truth by accident. Ray wonders why Frank and Reva came to Danny in the first place and Danny tells him that there is no reason for the Santoses to get involved. Maria comes in and tends to her garden. Ray asks her why this is upsetting her so much and Danny apologizes again for doubting her word. Ray questions her why she is taking Danny's questions so personally and why the police would assume they have something to do with illegal workers but she doesn't answer. Maria tells him to mind his own business but Danny tells her that the family is Ray's business. She explains that she couldn't afford a CD. Sam tells her he can make her a CD and goes to get his computer. He begins making a copy for Susan but Max thinks it's against the copyright laws. He says that he would have done anything for her and she tells him all she wanted was for him to get out of the business. He tries to explain that what he did was so that he could be free but she will never see that. He wonders if she ever really loved him. He tells her that life is complicated and you do what you have to in order to protect people. She thinks that's only in his world. He says that he's glad he's back with his family because he doesn't wake up and feel wrong anymore. He says he doesn't have to apologize for everything. Danny tells her that his family knows that loving him means they try to understand him. He walks away angry and a nurse comes along and asks if Michelle is okay. She's crying and asks the nurse to page Rick for her. Rick comes and she explains what just happened and how much Danny hates her now. She says she can't have this baby.
